These legends just got inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame 2 days ago. It was about 30 years too late but everybody knows the Hall is full of it anyways so whatever. Regardless they seemed very happy and honored to be inducted so I'm happy for them. Nobody deserves it more than the metal gods.

How many bands that were directly influenced by Priest, were inducted before them? Priests influence has been profound. Ushering in completely new sub-genres of music. That is truly the measure of their greatness.
tbh f*ck that hall of fame, ozzy isnt in it, not as black sabbath or solo, and he practically invented heavy metal.
halford's voice is one of a kind. and the band as a whole, they were so damn good. was so awesome to see them finally get in the HOF, even though the HOF is a joke.
Nothing better than Judas Priest in their prime. I would really like to go back in time and be there, this performance is amazing.

Seeing them perform this on the Turbo tour in 1985 in Nashville was one of the eternal moments of my youth.
OH MAN !... I'd have LOVED to have seen Priest on their "Fuel for Life" tour ! I really dug Turbo... not as great as Screaming for Vengeance, Defenders, British Steel but up there with Painkiller IMO... it's just that experimentation with the guitar synths that enraged Priest and metal fans at the time... but HOLY F*CK "Private Property", "Turbo Lover"/"Locked In" and "Out in the Cold" are AMZING tracks ! I'd have loved THIS tour for the inclusion of these songs to their stellar catalogue.
They are still great, and I will be seeing them again in 2024
@@paulwalsh2344 I am SO happy to read this! Turbo gets alot of hate, but this was the album that brought me to Priest. I had heard Breakin the Law and You Got Another Thing Coming, but Turbo came at a time when I became interested in hard rock. Then of course I backtracked and discovered many gems since then🤘🔥

Judas Priest has been my fav band for over 40 years now. They always sound incredible live Always! They are a metal machine. Rob Halford voice can be subtle one minute and pierce the heavens the next. Metal gods!

That was from the Turbo Love tour.. that was my first Priest concert. It was badass. So after that I've seen them 8 times. I met Rob Halford at the Roxy in Phoenix. I was there to see a cover band playing. The lead singer announced him in the audience. He was in a both next to me. Did even see him there. I freak out and got his autograph. Then a few days later he quit the bad and then later they announced the new singer. It was Tim "The Ripper Owens ".The singer from that night. Then they made a movie about that hole thing "Rock Star ". Crazy how the unexpected happens. Same as I met everyone. Met Steve Harris in 1987 in a mall before a concert. He was shopping. Met Gene Simmons at the Marriot hotel after the concert. Met Anthrax after a concert at Circle K. CRAZY SHIT!

The stage was so intricate with robot arms and rising drum stage that after the tour they thought that surely they made money. The manager said they didn’t make a dime off the tour. They demanded to see the books. After setups every night and paying the roadies they made nothing. Lesson learned

and you're not wrong about the bass...theres no mistaking how skilled KK and Glen are on guitar, how fluidly they can swap back and forth through a solo...but, you can't take away from Ian an his ability to keep that rhythm in lock step through those dueling guitars so that everyone sticks the landing!
Grinder is my favorite Priest song but the sentinel is great as well. Great live band and great musicians as well.
