On my disc trucker I painted my cable guides black and they came out real nice. Thanks for sharing your bike.
Super pretty green on that frame.
yeah it's a good color for this type of bike. very understated.
Jones h loop bars are fantastic. I’ve got some on my Thorn Mercury. It enables great steering and a nice upright position.
Right on! Still haven't mounted mine up - but plan to do so soon.
Great vid, thanks. I like those handlebars, but I've stuck with straight bars on my commuter - easier for shifters, and I really don't need to change position while commuting. I would put bigger wheels on that bike to get more pedal clearance. Where I live, fenders are a must on a commuter bike - often rains overnight. Love the pedals, use similar type on my commuter. I also love the back rack - I have them installed on both my commuter and my gravel/fitness bike. I just like having the option of snapping on the back panniers whatever I'm doing.
I felt the same as you about 3X chainring on my commuter, but I don't think it's that easy to go 1X with that cassette (might not work well in smallest and biggest cogs, reducing options even more), and I recently injured an elbow on my way to work - was so happy to have range options on the way home so I could nurse that elbow. Week later, that elbow is still knackered.
thank you. hope you're healing up well... yes, for my 1x set up, i would have changed the whole drivetrain, including the cassette. problem with 1x can be the larger jumps between the gears, so not ideal on a street oriented bike where the closer the ratios are the better. in california one thing you don't have to worry about is the weather. wild fires? yes. earthquakes? yes. weather? no. only check the weather in the summer to see how hot it will be, not for any actual weather phenomenon😂. still have not mounted the jones bar... being lazy and have been out on my kona and roubaix lately, so the commuter is resting.
Hi! Can a 700c wheelset fit this bike? Thanls and more power
nice video
Thanks!
Hi! What is the size of your stem?
Thks for tour vidéo and clear explanation. How much does the bike weigh?
thanks! have not weighed it as i'm 20 + lbs overweight, so would need to focus on that first 😂
Looks like they shortened the chain stays on the current model and also lowered the standover height. Thanks for your height, inseam and frame size. Most reviewers leave that out.
Hi, sorry if I am asking but what does that mean exactly? How do those numbers affect the riding experience? Thank you
@@andreashoppe1969 Shorter chain stays make the bike more agile but less stable. Stand over height doesn’t affect the ride so much as it does the fit of the bike.
Is this a 56cm frame?
keep the 3x, but thats just me, lovely bike
thank you. have not made any changes yet. we'll see in the future.
Bad idea going with a one by.
all depends on the use case. in my situation, i'm just chasing my daughter around the neighborhood. have not done anything to the bike, yet - using the kona unit for the family rides.
