My Review Of The Castelli Perfetto Cycling Gloves

- The Castelli Perfetto ROS gloves are my new favourite gloves for wet autumn (Fall!) and winter road cycling.
They are are made from the same material as my trusty Perfetto foul weather jersey. They are lightweight and don't have the bulk of other winter gloves. I can wear them and still change gears (result!) and get stuff out of my jersey pockets (dobla resulta!).
As a Raynaud's sufferer (Google it: cold finger tips; pain), I'm pretty particular about my winter pinky protection (which sounds odd written down). These gloves get the Raynaud's (very unofficial) seal of approval.

If you would like to buy the gloves mentioned in this video, I have put all the updated links on this page on my blog: www.sportivecyclist.com/cycling-product-links/#castelli-perfetto-gloves/
I'm glad you mentioned the sizing, I'm exactly the same size as you, and have just ordered the perfetto max gloves in medium, I wasn't 100% sure if they'd be too big of not.
Cool. Did they fit?
I have the same. Washed them twice (by hand) and the rubber for touch screens is already cracked and start to peeling off. Perfetto logo has already gone. So keep that in mind. Castelli has some serious issues with their silicone logos.
Helpful review, thanks (I too get very cold finger tips)!
What is never ever clear to me, is about rain... Do those gloves keeps your hands dry when it rains? And not just minimal rain, i mean... just, well, rain as it can happen regularly through the year?
Have you tried Assos gloves? They are my go to for all temps (I have a pair for each temp range)
Do you still like them?
@@ctsingletonboxing2829 yes!
@@MrJonnyb120 what gloves do you find are the warmest when you ride?

Nice review and the new ‘shed’ looks great. Will there be an upcoming ‘let’s clad the shed in timber, so the wife no longer thinks it’s an eyesore video’?
Have I said this in a video? I know I've said it in my head. I am starting to worry that the line between YT and my real life is becoming blurred. Tbh, my wife explicitly doesn't want it clad because that will be tantamount to accepting that it can stay...
Ha ha, I think it was alluded to in your email bulletin. It’s great though, even has a heater!
Are you still happy with these?
I’m in the market for some gloves. How do you recommend they should fit - loose or snug being better?
Hi Darren, for these I'd recommend snug. Mine are possibly slightly on the looser side, for choice.
Mont - you said the gloves were not waterproof, yet there is a Goretex label on the inner wrist?
Please clarify.
Thanks,
Geoff
Hi Geoff - the material is Goretex Infinium, which is windproof but not fully waterproof. Like the Perfetto jersey though, they're water resistant, so they'll certainly offer protection in wet conditions.
@@Sportivecyclist Thanks for the clarification, Monty
