I'm an over the road trucker, and I've been using the 50L version as a freezer on my truck for about a month now. I'll just say that I just ordered a second one.
Setting it to coldest, it holds at 3ºF, which is great, tho the unit is running at 100%. I keep it set at -10ºC, which holds it right around 10ºF.
I was happily surprised to find that the 12V plug is the same one that my old (died of old age, a half million miles) Indel-B (aka Truckfridge) unit uses. That means that I have all the Powerpole equipped cables I need. :)
The second unit will be on board as an unpowered spare, likely holding my cold/wet weather gear as storage until it's needed.
Last night after watching your video I placed an order using the coupon. Like others who commented I woke up to an email informing me that my order was cancelled. Not sure what that is all about...hope you can get to the bottom of it. Thanks for the video...very informative!

I whipped up Medium Geek very quickly. The PowerMini 2 takes care of all the monitoring though, so it was pretty easy.
I am in the market for a 12 volt fridge and was going to buy a dometic earlier today but didn’t pull the trigger. I come home and this video is in my subscriptions. I also purchased one on the banggood link. With the coupon code it was $165 shipped. I understand the quality is not comparable to the dometic, but for the price I figured I would give it a shot. I have never purchased anything on banggood so hopefully I don’t get scammed.
Update 7/7/22 woke up to an email from banggood that my order had been canceled and my purchase price refunded. I do see a refund from paypal so it doesn’t look like I lost the money, but banggood said my ordered was canceled due to logistic problems even though it still shows in stock on their website.

That thing is amazing. I'd wager it's a better price than a Dometic unit, too.
Cheaper than a Dometic for sure. My CFX series Dometic is smaller and I did some tests on it and measured its' power usage at 0.68 amp hours per hour when set on 43 degrees and in a 80 degree ambient environment. It would be interesting to know the same measurement for this cooler.

How long was it in your possession before you snipped the cable and installed power poles?
I left them on for field day for the video just to show it stock. It pained me to do that but rest assured, they have power poles now.

Hi Mike interesting review I never seen a cooler/freezer like that. I don’t know if you’ve ever heard of back in the day the amateurs would say they would like to have an 807 and that was a beer. 807 was a tube back in the day so the beer bottle look like the tube. I don’t know if you’ve ever heard of that. Have a great week.

"L" is for Low battery protection and will drain your car battery all the way. "M" is for medium battery protection and the fridge will leave enough power so you ca start you car without draing it all the way. Th fridge will automatically shut-off, preventing the battery to drain fully. Use "L" if you are not using your car battery as your power source.
