Gopro Hero 12 v Insta360 One R 1" for Startrails and Starlapses

Managed to pick up a Insta360 One R 1" Edition in a sale really cheaply. A 1 inch sensor camera for £250. Thought I'd test it against my Gopro Hero 12 Black for starlapses and startrails. My goal is to get out and catch some auroras with it but they aren't playing just now. Let me know which you think is better. Initial thoughts are that the gopro just works without any settings faff or editing but teh One R will give much better results when set up properly.
Gopro settings used Starlapse ISO800 30 sec shutter for all shots
Insta 360 settings interval mode ISO 800 30 secs shutter.
Later shots in garden ISO 1250 and 20 sec shutter.
Lots more tinkering required for different moon and light pollution conditions.
