    This is the only best proper test report of this vechicle, I would say, after watching several TD videos (Endeavours as well as Everest). No one including Paul Mari have done this extensive off-road test. You have done a wonderful job and Hats off to you sir! I am sure this is the TD which would help the buyer to get convinced more buying this vechicle. :-) Thank you.

    a detailed and valued presentation,all points covered accordingly but no mention of ford noise cancelling microphones and the ford park asist......the negatives are the tone you speak in and can this voice be a little louder.......overall a good presentation.

    Very good review man. initially when u started off i tgt u seemed to amateurish and was thnkn of switchin' over(to be honest)... but u picked up well... u started speaking well.. and the offroad theoretical presentation was the best part..! It really made me undestand the modes on the Endeavour. Appreciate your efforts and u can definitely be a sought-after car reviewer in India !!! Way to go maite. Gonna keep u subscribed.

  • @9866256923
    @9866256923 Před 8 lety +2

    Hi there!! great video but this has caused more than enough confusion to me right now and the reason is I have booked an obsidian black GL and haven't bothered to even look at cars in 40 lakh price range. now that the ford endeavour has launched do you think I should go get it and save myself 60+ lakhs. Or do you think the premium interior quality, the road presence or the sheer amount space available in gl is worth the splurge. the car will be chauffeur driven so I really don't care about engine specs. it just needs to cruise at speeds 120-140 kmph comfortably. I know I shouldn't be comparing these cars but that's the Indian automotive scene right now. confusing as hell.

    • @KKCOnAMotive
      @KKCOnAMotive  Před 8 lety +1

      +deathrider45 - The GL is surely a full size SUV. I had the GL in L.A. for a week & it was the 450 which is a V8 petrol & boy it was fun. BUT the endeavour is truly a more capable OFF ROADER than the GL and i tell you what it strangely feels like a big German SUV which will happily do cruising speeds of 120-140 km/h all day.

    Great Review sir.
    But I think all the terrains you put forth could have been handled in just sand mode. A tougher terrain would have been nicer to see if the modes actually made any difference.

    • @KKCOnAMotive
      @KKCOnAMotive  Před 8 lety

      +Stan John - Thanks Stan ... Well i partly agree, the 2nd terrain may not have needed Rock mode, but as soon as you go into the 4x4 low the wheel slips less. Also in the last terrain the purpose of putting on the Rock mode and lock the diffs on the dry river bed was to understand how the TMS behaves and distributes torque on those loose rocks.

    Solid review just like the rest but quick question , how do early gearshifts provide more low end torque ?

    • @KKCOnAMotive
      @KKCOnAMotive  Před 8 lety

      +VA B - Thanks ! A good question, the simple answer to that is that the torque band of the Endeavour is 1750 - 2500 rpm. So when the car upshifts early it is to stay in that power band.

      +KKC On A-Motive I don't know why, but I saw your review over and over again. I think it is because of pure content. I think these days, the reviewers like autocar, powerdrift or overdrive are paid to not to review negative aspects of the cars. But watching your review was a pleasure. I am sure this channel won't do this for money. Moreover I bought this car yesterday, and boy this car is, like you said, Unbeatable.

    Have you driven the 2.2 version? I'm interested in this SUV, the model I'm looking at is 2.2 4x4 MT. Granted the 3.2 has more grunt and will put smile on the face of the driver. it has no MT option. I only drove an automatic once in 2009 and hated it, seemed like it was disconnected and brakes felt jerky. I am in a bit of a conundrum 3.2 is great, a lot of equipment for the money but 2.2 has a MT and would be a safer bet in the long run. What are your opinions?

    • @KKCOnAMotive
      @KKCOnAMotive  Před 8 lety

      hi, i havent driven the 2.2 M/T... but id have picked up the 2.2 too. Also it wont be that bad, as the torque rating is more than 3L D4D of current Fortuner.
      Also features dont matter so much, the joy of 'using' or 'flaunting' features or toys dies off very soon after ownership.
      All the best !

    • @KKCOnAMotive
      @KKCOnAMotive  Před 7 lety +1

      Hi,
      Well Endeavour v/s Fortuner is a long battle where some prefer Toyota brand where as others may want to buy the Ford. BUT in todays scenario the Endeavour is a great product with more features and better engine too (more power and an extra cylinder). So if you want to buy an A/T then the Ford is better product, if Manual then definitely the Toyota as its available with a larger 2.8 L compared to 2.2 L of Ford. I would have bought the Endeavour if the 3.2L were available with a M/T.
      It was not Hence i bought the 2.8L 4x4 MT Fortuner.

So if you want to buy an A/T then the Ford is better product, if Manual then definitely the Toyota as its available with a larger 2.8 L compared to 2.2 L of Ford.
      Hence i bought an 4x4 MT Fortuner.
      All the best !

    • @KKCOnAMotive
      @KKCOnAMotive  Před 6 lety +1

      SAGAR, great question but strangely the answer lies not in what has gone wrong with Ford but the brand loyalty factor & respect towards brand Toyota over Ford. Somehow resale also is much better of a Toyota product, service costs also come into picture. Ford gave products like IKON, ESCORT etc where initally they struggled with spares, service costs etc on the other hand Toyota gave products like Qualis, Corolla where they exceeded market expectations with their long term ownership costs & resale.
      Hope you have an answer by now...
      Regards !

    • @KKCOnAMotive
      @KKCOnAMotive  Před 8 lety

      +Ponygt 662 - New Endeavour in some markets like Australia is taking on the much expensive Prado too. Speaking of Toyota pricing, they have always shown adamancy in their pricing policy because their products are so good & carry a lot of reputation when it comes to resale. But today this Endeavour is truly a VFM buy.

      I dont think Toyota products have ever been good, the only thing Toyota products do goodis regarding reliability, rest all parameters Toyota is Crap!
      eg Etios/Liva vs Aspire/Figo, Etios is crap
      Corolla vs Focus/Jetta/Octavia, Corolla is CRAP!
      Innovas Ford competition is Ford S Max which is light years better than Innova,
      But when it comes to reliability Toyota handily beats Ford, its said that an average Toyota is 3x times more reliable than a Ford,VW,Peugeot etc,
      Thats the only reason they sell well

    • @KKCOnAMotive
      @KKCOnAMotive  Před 8 lety

      I hope so, India is worlds toughest proving ground, true Rangers have been reliable but its been in much friendlier environments like Australia,New Zealand,South Africa,Turkey, etc where the climate etc has specific pattern and roads are near perfect, India is like too tough for any car to stay fine,
      So hope the new Endeavor can run reliably upto 2.4 lakh kms
      A fortuner,Innov on average runs upto 2000k kms without issues post which it can get freaky, still thats a huge number
      So lets see how the Ford tackles India

    Great review of the Ford Endeavour. Definitely covered all the bases including the odd position of the tachometer and middle seat split both of which obviously were for left hand drive markets. I think Ford has to fix that. If I'm paying for a SUV, I don't want to have a compromise on my hands. We should demand better from our car companies rather than have other market hand me downs.

      The xuv in AWD variant is really capable BUT the Crysta's new engine is really fun to drive even in the 2.4L version.
      Overall i'd suggest you pick the xuv if you want that AWD advantage, if not then the Crysta.

    • @KKCOnAMotive
      @KKCOnAMotive  Před 6 lety

      Hi, the facelift as you see in the pics has extremely minuscule changes as far as the exteriors are concerned. Interiors will / should get a better / faster entertainment touch screen package. Honestly i dont see this launching before 2019 as the current Endeavour was launched in 2016 Jan so its been only 2 years & Automakers would normally like to refresh around the 3 year mark. So if you dont mind waiting for another 11-12 months then wait otherwise buyin the current one would also not be a loss.
      All the best !

And its not how & which car can pass the same terrains but with how much ease & thats what was shown in ther review. I personally own a Fortuner and do my own bit of off roading what the fortuner can handle. BUT this being a press car i have to maintain some sanity in what I attempt. Also i am not an established name in the field of reviewing so i can't afford to damage the car just to get exciting content. But still i get your point & i hope you get mine as well.

      If he wants a Superb ask him to opt for the Diesel if Petrol then stay away as the DQ200 A/T gearbox is prone to failures. Fortuner v/s Endeavour is simple. If A/T then pick the Endeavour as its a better A/T with a larger engine, more power. If M/T then pick the Fortuner.
