This definitely could have the potential to make other websites even more cringe like what happened with Tumblr. Then again they'd probably just migrate to Reddit and Discord and I don't really think you can make those any worse than they already are.
Even worse: the thought of Twitter users going to the streets to buy cigarettes and never come back is... Is actually great!
I have a feeling those fucking birds will migrate back to Facebook, & if they don't, then well, we're all fucked.

I really never thought I would see the day of Tumblr outliving Twitter but here we are.
this aged too well, but it missed a very important thing that happened about three hours ago (im sure you know about it, but those who dont have twitter probably dont)
you will now get suspended for posting links to your accounts of other social media, like literally every youtuber or "content creator" has on their profile
this is the single dumbest thing they could do, because 1) twitter only grew because youtubers went in it and carried their audiences; 2) people dont get famous _off of twitter_
so if they stick to this and dont revert in the next few days, people will just stop linking to it and the platform will _really_ die

Musk was just mad so many people fled to Mastodon, but couldn't single them out without looking for a dumbass by showing he actually only cares about his freedom of speech and the people who agree with him.
By banning all platforms, he attempts to slow down the spread of Mastodon.

Elon Musk basically said that other publishers don't allow competing corps to make publicity for themselves for free, effectively redefining twitter as a traditional publisher.
Twitter being a traditional publisher would mean that Twitter would be legally liable for what people post on the app.
In other words, people could start suing Twitter for the words of firstnamebunchanumbers.
As someone who shares the exact same birthday as Twitter, I am proud to have outlived my evil twin brother

I originally created a Twitter account for the worst presents of 2020 YIAY and I barely used it for about 2 years, In early 2022 I began to actually use it and when I heard Elon bought Twitter I had 1 goal in mind, to get suspended, I succeeded earlier this month and that was the funniest thing to happen to me on the entirety of the app
