I really saw the potential of the stock market by reading Berkshire's annual letters. I recently sold my $674k apartment in the Bel Air area and I'm hoping to throw it into the stock market. I just don't want to lose everything.
Most people either do not understand the power of compound interest, or are just impatient. For the average Joe, however, I think it is just best to invest in the S&P 500, and just wait, which is reliable, albeit extremely long- lots of years. Or just use a professional analyst and speed up wealth creation. Most people underestimate the power of the latter.

He had a tough exterior and one of the greatest minds of his generation, but he remained capable of learning and changing up to the moment he left us. China is always framed during the days of Mao and the Cultural revolution and The Great Leap forward which major hardships for the Chinese population. However that all changed wen Deng Xiao Peng opened China to the world and pursued more economically pragmatic solutions that raised 800 million people out of poverty. By contrast the Western press never speak of the Germany and Japan and the atrocities they committed during world War 2. All of those unspeakable actions are forgiven as they are now considered beacons of Democracy. Warren should pay some of that cash out as a dividend since he admitted that they have no good ideas to deploy the cash. Holding shareholder cash isn't good long-term unless he's going to actually deploy it effectively within a reasonable timeframe.

i started investing 20 years ago, i beat the sp500 index over the first 3-4 years. It was the worst that could happen to me. Since then I´ve beating it on and off until now, being my overall result much much worse.
