- First video on youtube to fully review this device!! I'm so excited!
Finally, after waiting soooo long for Intel to manufacture such a good device.... here it is! The all new, Dell XPS 13, 2024!
Full model name: 9340, 0CHSX9. - Věda a technologie
Do you know if they made any changes to the chassis from the previous model (9320) XPS 13 Plus?
Is it a full size SSD 2282? or smaller version?
Are you able to tell me if there are two M.2 Slots?
thanks for the review. is the ram upgradeable please?
All XPS 13 versions have soldered RAM, which means it's not upgradable.
Dell has always tuned their chips to run hotter and more quite. That is below where damage occurs. The laptop skin may get a bit hotter, but I am sure it is monitored and tuned for if it gets too high.
thanks for such detailed review! I've fell in love with this laptop. Could you advise if using the adapters to usb 3.0 external hard drives is going to cause any problem?
Thank you so much!
No problems should occur using an external hard drive :)
do you know what model of the Intel Arc GPU it is?
Actually there's no information about it.
Both in Dell's datasheet and within the settings, nothing is being said except from: "GRAPHICS Intel® Arc™ graphics"
interesting. thanks for the reply though!
It's it silent? That's something I couldn't find
Yes, it is silent, until it's working too hard, then it becomes really hot :)
@@longrhino perfect, thank you!
Is this Oled or Qled ?
Which one is better ?
This device's is Oled.
Qled is a nice name. Led that's brighter
OLED is much better.
LED for static content, OLED for better looking content/less longevity.
@@longrhino i bought OLED touch screen. Its good so far.
What's battery life like please?
To be honest, not the best, I would've expected much more!
About 4 hours using the web / excel / onenote.
that's subject to change (hopefully) in the future.
@@longrhino have you looked at the thinkbook 13x? that's what i'm leaning towards now. it has amazing battery life, very good screen too. 'Limited' 32gb ram though
@@longrhino helll, 4hours? Do you think, could it extend if I use linux instead of windowso this laptop?
@@longrhino No non-gaming laptop battery in 2024 last 4 hours.
This is why you shared ZERO information on setting and activity...
@@fuadmonsoon Why would you blieve a dude who shares ZERO information and doesn't use a standardized battery test?
Bought it and used it for a month ... using 3x Excel + Whatsapp + Chrome + Outlook makes it get hickups repeatedly. Any ideas on how to solve ?
Ive heard that doing a clean windows install (not windows version from dell) solves these issues. Apparently the custom software dell wrote is shit and causes issues
@@ChrisWhoLikesGrapes got better after updates with their support. But battery got weaker and vent was on full all time. gave it back and bought a mac.
@@eglausch thats such a shame, and you honestly made the right choice it seems. im thinking of picking up an XPS 13, but thats only because i plan on using linux and completely bypassing windows. i hope these QC issues are exclusive to windows...
@@ChrisWhoLikesGrapes the XPS 13 is now available with the new qualcomm snapdragon processors, which are faster than intel, use less power, and have 24 hour battery life. Maybe look at those
@@NissocoMC they seem fantastic, but unfortunately linux's ARM support is still in the experimental stages. great devices though, as ARM for laptops is certainly the future
Do you think it can run AutoCad?
I don't think it's the right machine for it even if it could :)
You need a dedicated GPU for it for most of the AC's work.
Yeah, unless you’re doing huge projects. If you’re a student you don’t need a gaming gpu lmao.
where do you stick a usb stick? no more usb sticks thats the furure
Well, we're in the docking station / dongle era, so you'll need some sort of an adapter for this laptop to work with our original USB :-(
@@longrhino the future looks grim
Who’s gonna tell him that if not getting 3k he probably should you know…get a 120hz panel
