Story:
"** Avalon became a more and more powerful and spiritual place over the course of many years. Its priests and priestesses lived according to the laws of nature and by the movements of the sun and moon.
Morgain, also known as Morgan le Fey, was Lady of the Lake (high priestess of Avalon) during King Arthurs reign. She was Arthurs half-sister. She made for him the sheath of his legendary sword Excalibur and she is the mother of his son Gwydion.
Sometime during King Arthurs reign, Avalon started to become isolated in time and space. Lost to the rest of the world. Only the priestesses and priests of Avalon could reach it with a small boat, willing the mists surrounding Avalon to yield.
It is believed that a map to the location of Avalon is hidden in King Arthurs tomb. But where is King Arthurs tomb? According to some versions of the legend his body was buried on Avalon itself...
** Atlantis was destroyed by the wrath of the Atlantean god Deios.
The survivors fled overseas, in different directions, but the Stone of Omphalis was saved from the destruction and was brought overseas to the Tor where it was placed in an underground labyrinth to harness its immense powers.
It is believed that the Stone of Omphalis has indeed great spiritual powers. The Atlanteans were able to harness and even channel this power through singing rituals, thus enabling them to build massive structures that could not be built with any of the conventional tools. This power could explain how Avalon, with the Tor at its centre, became lost in time and space.
** So the legends of Atlantis and Avalon seem to be connected..."

i love how they added so much detail into the rooms better then the original. You are able to explor the whole croft manor which i had to wait for TBR 2,3 to explore the whole manor when i was a kid!!! xD but i love this fan made version, the physics of lara tumbling is not even on the original game!
There's no "they": it has been made by a single person, whose name is Titia Drent, and her creator avatar is "Titak". Don't get me wrong though: not everyone can achieve this level of mastery. She is the best.

Very pretty! the scenery is sublime (I was amazed by the reflections in the floor of his gym), Lara is simply beautiful, its movements are fluid and captivating music.

With the release of TR5 came a level editor, still available to download on tro-online. It comes with a 100+ sheets manual, that one needs to study carefully while learning the basics for level editing with this engine. A wonderful exercise for anyone interested in making their own games. How much fun did I have with that editor.
Lol not many know. I new a few yrs ago, but forgotten & no pc, etc to even get it, but hope to this as well as actual game company lara, Christmas manor one of fan based like this, etc. Quite a bit out there. Also, dvd game one, There is a RE, and Sims too.

no you did not lol! this game looks better than the majority of PS1 games, but AoD has superior lighting system, HQ models, textures... the list is endless. It's the controls that were awful in AoD, the graphics were on par with other PS2 games if not better.

The PDA doesn't work for me: it opens, but the screens don't actually appear despite my being able to scroll through them. The save and load screens don't work either. Running in 1680x1050 didn't fix it. The Readme says that restarting and/or turning on compatibility mode for XP and lower can fix it but it does _absolutely fucking nothing_ and the game won't even launch if I pick Windows 98 or WIndows 95 compatibility modes. Not even DGVoodoo could make the PDA and save/load screens appear. WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON AND HOW DO I FIX IT? I WANT TO PLAY THIS GAME!
