There’s a theory that 2D’s eyes are white sometimes because his eyes are recovering, because he got 8-ball fractures the blood covers up the eye making it appear dark red/black and because Murdoc isn’t there to hit him around his eyes are clearing up. It’d also explain why his eyes become black in the humility video after Russel trips him
Also the whole part about the now now is getting over relation ships and several times 2D talks about how they’re better without somebody or how they want to apologize for they did even they didn’t do anything. Take that as you want
I read that he may be possesed like Russell; if you may have noticed, Russell has white eyes which indicates he is possesed by the spirit of his friend. When 2-D had his eyes black it was cause of the ruptured blood vessels which caused then to turn dark all over.
Song is about how drugs affect him. Asking the people if they feel like him or burn like him, and if they turn into an effigy. An effigy being a sculpture meant to burn. Also the video being weird and colorful is like being on drugs.

Clue #3: 2:24 - Not quite the right type, but more pretty and near enough. Gorillaz don't do the Scooby Doo ending though, you've got to take off the mask yourself to solve this mystery!
