Did anyone else realize the realism in Noodle's dancing? I mean its so natural and loose its perfect!
The beauty of it is that it's not rotoscoped, each frame was done by hand without a human reference underneath!

"By hand" is still relative. I guess they didn't draw it with a pencil on paper and scan it in. They highly probably just got software that emulates a skeleton and put the cartoon character images on the positions of the "bones" of this skeleton.
They likely used references, most artists do, you're thinking of tracing, which is a very different thing.
GooeySlime I'm not that much into graphics, so you say it! I'm just a software engineer explaining it the way i would do it. I don't know all the pro-graphics terms for things.

Now that Ive returned to Gorillaz, its no denying that they had a huge influence on who I am today.
I love this song 🤩
12 years later and this song still hits. Gorillaz is one of the few original bands around pushing boundaries. Went to their LA concert this year and literally people 7 to 70 all walks of life.
