    Great video Jim! I have the single bag version which came with the second mower I bought. Actually the reason I bought it was for the bagger kit. Anyway, the previous owner used a 1/2" copper pipe as the metal ring which works quite well until I crush one corner. Still works but that's a job for the wintertime.

      Thanks Steve for that good idea, and greetings from Ireland. I'll store your solution at the back of my mind, hoping I'll never need to use it.

    Once again, great info, thank you!
    I have a feeling that I'm going to be doing a lot of maintenance and probably replacement parts and pieces, hopefully to a minimum, this year. I haven't been able to keep the Snapper inside because of lack of room in a one car garage and it takes it's toll on a lot of things but we recently moved and now have a two car garage and what a relief! I'll Gmail you some pics of this Snapper before I switched engines and after from an 11 hp Briggs to a 17 hp Briggs Twin 2 from a couple years ago. I need to repaint and clean some things up on it before I feel good about taking any new pics, it's looking pretty shabby these days.

    Jim, I have a Brand New rear bagger, still in the box, I decided to sell it instead of using it myself due to some health issues. It’s the model that fits my 09 SNAPPER, as well as my 2019 SNAPPER. If you know anyone that’s interested, let me know. -Stephen, Ohio 🇺🇸

    Hi Jim - it's Big Rodders in Ireland. I hope you are getting through your long list of chores this month, I have diarized to email you at month end. Single bag systems are horrendously expensive here at $650. My 1996 bag was badly ripped so I repaired it with pieces cut from old walk behind bags and a large needle used for repairing yacht sails. As an aside, I pressure wash my bag after every usage to maintain maximum airflow and grass lifting capability as cutting grass when wet is an occupational hazard here in Ireland.

      Hey Rodney it’s good to hear from you well I’m staying as safe as I can I hope you are I heard it’s really picking up over there as it is here I was hoping with you being on an island it wouldn’t be quite so bad but I guess it doesn’t matter how are you doing on repairs to your bag is it going to work or do you need a new one I could check to see how much it would cost for me to mail you one. Jim

    I have a bag-n-wagon but am missing the pieces that attach it to the mower! Can you show that stuff in detail in a video so I can recreate them? Nobody has a video or even pictures showing the parts in detail.

    • @rodneysweetnam8653
      @rodneysweetnam8653 Před 3 lety

      Hi Epice - it's Big Rodders in Ireland. I bought a 1996 Snapper that was missing the shute connecting the deck to the top of the bagger system. I didn't even check if it was available in this part of the world as I knew that if was, the cost would be prohibitive. Instead, I used aluminium sheeting from the side of an old caravan, I think you call them trailers, that I cut, rolled and cable tied together as I didn't have any pop rivets at the time to secure it. It works a treat. If you want a photo just email Jim and ask him kindly to forward it on to me and I will email you directly. I also made a cover for side discharging, again I have photos if they would assist you.

      @@rodneysweetnam8653 Thanks but I'm talking about like the 'trailer hitch' part. The bag on mine is long gone.

      @richfromny6077 Před 3 lety

      I have a bag-n-wagon that I still use. It came with an complicated swing hitch. I found a link that may help you You would have to create the front assembly that they call the "drawbar". Tubing that would fit over the wagon tube and have the two flat metal bars attached, maybe with bolts, with holes that allow a pin to drop through them and into the hitch on most mowers. One flat piece would go above the mower hitch and one below the hitch hole and then insert a pin through all three.. If you cannot find tubing that will fit over the trailers tube, maybe bolt it to square tube or angle stock.

    Mine is a tube! How do I do that?

    • @jimjackson9381
      @jimjackson9381  Před měsícem

      @@boomer1049 you have to feel around the top of the bag until you feel a larger diameter on the frame inside of the bag or just cut the bag off the frame there’s a couple or it’s just a small piece of pipe that the two ends of the tube stick into to make it completely round sometimes sand gets in between the tube and the coupler and is extremely hard to get it apart and try to twist it and pull it same time, then you have to slide the bag onto the frame and when you get it all the way around then you have to put the tube in there to connect the two end.

    • @boomer1049
      @boomer1049 Před měsícem

      @@jimjackson9381 I just cut the bag right from the start. But the problem I had was getting the pipe back together there is very little room in the new bag to pull the pipe far enough apart to couple it again 😔

    • @jimjackson9381
      @jimjackson9381  Před měsícem

      @@boomer1049 you want to run the bag onto the tube until you come to the end so the bag is completely on the tube then stick the coupler on the end of the tube and work it bag over the coupler until the other end of the tube is exposed and push them together.
