Black-Bellied Whistling Ducks, South Tetagouche, June 01, 2022

These Black-Bellied Whistling Ducks arrived at Hazen McCrae's property in South Tetagouche approximately a week ago. They have stayed there as they are being well fed with cracked corn. In this video the birds were located at adjacent pond where they were resting in marsh grass after feeding. You can hear them respond to a calling Alder Flycatcher.When laying down the entire flock was effectively invisible.
