With England's front 3 and Grealish in a No.10 role, we literally have the best attacking players in Europe. But Southgate is still obsessed with a system with Kyle Brainless Walker at the heart of it. Though France played way better (especially compared to the second half of Belgium), and I'm a Belgian fan. The difference between the two matches is that France plays way more actively, faster. Belgium plays slowly (except for some counter attacks), especially its defense. Tbh I think we'd lose again, if we keep playing like this. But I also know the Belgian would play faster against france, just bcause it's France, they (so as I) want to take revenge for the WC

@Hillary Clinton Wrong. Never put Denayer at Wingback, he's a solid defender and it should stay that way. We should start Foket and Castagne as wingbacks. Meunier as a CB or CDM is even worse, because defense is his weakness, so either we keep using him as wingback for a little while longer or he retires.

They missed important defensive players like Boyata, Castagne (who was brilliant vs England in the first leg), Carrasco, Dendonker, Vermaelen and Chadli.
I'd like to see more of Foket (someone else mentioned him here), he was class in the friendly vs Switzerland.

Thorgan was decent against England last game, but it's not his position so you never know how he'll perform. (inconsistent as an LWB)
Like against Denmark I believe it was when Thorgan struggled at that position.
Carrasco struggled at that position as well, but Martínez switched him with Thorgan in that Denmark game and he did better.
Thorgan has already played LWB ib Dortmund and Carrasco knows what defending is, playing under Simeone. :)

Pickfords getting it harsh here in the comments, and I really don’t think he deserves it. The first goal was admittedly an intercepted pass from him, but it was intercepted just around the halfway line, and thus he can’t really be held responsible for the subsequent goal as it’s more on the shoulders of the defenders.
And that Mertens free kick was just a spectacular unsaveable goal
And it could’ve easily been 3-0 Belgium if Pickford hadn’t have made that Lukaku header save
