- If you only have one day to spend in New York City, this one is for you! However, i have filmed this in vlog style so if you are watching this with zero interest of coming to NYC then we can still hang out together exploring the city :) There are so many other places i wanted to show you but couldnt fit it into one video so let me know if you want a part 2! This video is mostly sightseeing ❤️

Hi friends! Had a lot of fun making this one. Thanks for hanging out and exploring with me ❤️
What an Awesome Tour that was!!👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾Thanks for showing us around different parts of the city😊..Way Cooll👍🏾👍🏾
I PREFER to do things alone! I don't like people... 😂
Thank you Chelsea for this wonderful video! I have wanted to visit New York since I was a teenager and I am 52yr now. I took a leap of faith starting my own channel last year for healing now I think it’s time for me to start exploring even more. Thank you for the inspiration ❤
This was probably one of my favorite videos of yours. I hope you make more like these over the summer. Maybe a theme compilation… top museums, top coffee spots… or maybe just different - low budget days seeing other things. I’ve been to NYC a few times (alone, in a group, and with my mom… for her first visit) and have seen some of those things. I have missed the High Line and Central Park… I’d love to see those on my next visit.
Thanks for showing us around Chelsea😊
Okay who else would pay Chelsea to be a tour guide for the week?!! The casual pace, the iconic places and hidden gems. This video had it all, thanks for another great one Chelsea!
Yes!!! I definitely would❤ 😍👍
Hahaha honestly that would be so fun
@@ChelseaCallahan Seriously!! Now I just need to save my pennies. Cuz you know in my head all of us in your community are besties lol. It would be so much fun!
I’m coming to New York next summer from the UK for my 30th 👀 girl DO IT
Thank you for NY tour. You are an excellent tour guide.
Almost at 100k! Let’s get her that plaque 😎
❤️❤️❤️
You know what the most inspiring thing about your videos is - seeing you flourish! The lighter energy that comes with it is very visible and contagious. Me (and I guess everyone here) can feel that you are not in a draining job and schedule anymore. Good for you for pursuing your dreams, Chelsea!
I live in a German village, dreaming myself away to NYC from time to time. Thank you, Chelsea.
I dream of German villages 😍😍sounds beautiful
Villages around the world have cheap stuff than a lot of cities
Do a separate nightlife video. This was an amazing day in NYC!!
I love traveling alone! I pick a different city every year for a solo trip, and it's such a joy to wander around doing whatever I want.
Wow, this sounds like crazy fun! ❤
I have almost no desire to live in NYC but watching Chelsea live her best tour guide life is why I watch. Thanks for showing us around it was fun!
I went to New York City a couple months ago with my husband and my parents for my brother's 30th birthday (we're German but he moved to NYC a couple years back). It was exhausting. There were some tensions among the family and it was raining the entire time we were there (which made it worse).
Even though those weren't good memories I was glad to take some time to think about it watching your video just now. Closure? I don't know.
I admire you for being able to withstand this giant of a megacity. Have been watching your content for a couple years and I really like your vibe. Very real. Thank you.
The bookstore made me think of the movie "You've got mail" 🥰
Hey chelsea :)) I've been a silent viewer but I wanted to comment for once to tell you that you are a source of inspiration to me when it comes to living alone with myself and I really enjoy your videos. I'm so happy to see you grow and to see your platform become more popular to others (as it should be!) Wishing you the best :))
Hey! Nice to meet you :) thank you for the kind words and support ❤️❤️
Yay Silent viewer. Such a sweet comment ❤
Yes, please to a part 2! Haven't been to NYC in many years, but I love seeing it! Thanks for the fun day.
I love how you weren’t rushing this day! Just taking in the moment and appreciating it. Thank you for sharing!
You inspire me so much, thank you and I can speak for a lot of people to. Thank you for being you, showing the good and the bad and being relatable. Keep being you.
Love the jazz music, favorite. Love this video, by far my favorite one. Thank you so much for showing beautiful parts of New York 😍👍💞
my wife and I went to NYC i. 2017 and went to a lot of the same places you did in the video. We stayed an airbnb and did all the free stuff. We barely spent any money. Lastly, I proposed to her in Central Park❤
Videos like this inspires me to look at my little city I live in and just go explore for a day. Walk and see what is out there and be pleasantly surprised.
Chelsea this is such perfect timing, I'm going to be in the city visiting my friend next week and need to entertain myself alone for a day while she's at work and was just going to google some ideas of what to do but these are great ideas!!
Exciting!! Have the best time :)
P.S.S. Wow - that Brooklyn Bridge 🌉 history was incredible! Also, remembering (on a less historic note) when Miranda & Steve from Sex & The City 🗽 met on the Brooklyn Bridge (when they decided to get back together) - in the 1st movie 🎥🍿💕
Normally don’t comment but wanted to say are doing such a good job! The editing, the music, the information - all 10/10! Keep up the great work! Much love from The Netherlands 🇳🇱
Loved the bakery suggestion ❤ Lived here for almost 9 years but never been 😮 would love a nightlife video for new ideas!!
Oooh let me know if you try a cronut!
P.S. Also, just wanted to say - it's so impressive you film all of this solo 🤩
Just moved to New York from Minneapolis, your videos solo are making me feel better in this solo life lol
welcome to the city!
Welcome!!! ❤
@@nonFluencerNoWathank you! And now to make friends… hah
@@GunnerstahlY if you know at least 1 person, you’re on the right path :) and where in NY did you move to? It’ll help if there are things to do around you. :)
@@nonFluencerNoWa upper west side, I play pickleball, so I’m on my way
I loved Chelsea Market when my friend took me there! We went at night when many of the shops were closed, but it’s so cool and full of artsy things in there, and I want to go back during the day sometime. It’s also near the western end of the Skyline, which has its own art installation. Even if you don’t like the statues or the plants, you can gaze upon the very interesting architecture/buildings, as well as the street life below. In addition to that, the western end is very close to Little Island. My friend, who had lived in NYC for a couple of decades, hadn’t heard of it and we both experienced it for the first time together. It’s so beautiful at night (don’t miss the the foot-powered blocks that make chime sounds). Also, he and I took the free Staten Island ferry round trip, which got a lot closer to the Statue of Liberty than the park. In addition to being a good place to do some reading, the parks are a great place to people watch. Very close to the Strand, there’s also a comic book store called Forbidden Planet (it has some fun things that aren’t comic books, as well). The East Village is pretty cool to walk around -whether by yourself or with a friend. I have a very small budget and only spent money on food or coffee (except for getting a copy of Maus from Forbidden Planet), and spent less than $170 collectively over two trips in two different years (airfare and accommodations not included).
Oh! And I would recommend Fiction Bar & Cafe in Williamsburg near the Hewes St stop They make really good espresso beverages and it’s really nifty inside
Gosh, how did you know I needed something to watch after getting back from my run? It was fun seeing what you suggest for a day. I had a day in NYC last summer when I was passing through for work and took a bunch of classes at Peloton, walked around a bunch and had a meal with some friends in Hell's Kitchen. When the weather is nice, NYC is a glorious city for endless walks!
As someone who is constantly wanting to go to New York (soon, hopefully), this video really captured the beauty and essence of the city. You're a wonderful tour guide, Chelsea! :)
Thanks Alex!! Hope you make it here soon ❤️
Knowing you had a panic attack on those steps… oddly comforting LOL might follow in your footsteps
😂😂😂
Thanks, friend for taking me sightseeing today!
Im whimpering seeing the Cherry Blossom trees. I havent gone to see them in so long. Man I miss NYC so much! 🗽🌸😿
they're sooo pretty!
Central Park in Spring is Heaven 🗽🌸😻
I have had a long day today… this video made me feel so much better to be honest. Much love from Kenya 🇰🇪
❤️❤️
Yay. A new video. I always suggest the free things to ppl visitng NYC for the 1st time. Central Park. The Highline. Also I havent seen Little Island yet. But I wanna see that. Not the other touristy places tho. And no museums. Unless its Museum Mile (free!) Also I always recommend Coney Island. The Mermaid Parade especially. No to July 4th, or any parade…
And always NO to Times Square.
The videography in this video is so good!
Ahhh thank you I really tried!!
This was probably my favorite vlog that you’ve done.
I want this day for me so bad lol. Love the vibes.
I don’t have a question. I also never comment on you tube but I just love this video. ❤️❤️ I’ve been to New York and you just made it so I want to go back. 👌🏻
Hi Chelsea, this is my first ever comment on your channel, even though I’ve been watching you for a little over a year now. I just wanted to say I absolutely loved this video and I found it so helpful and informative. I come to the city every year in July for an event called Sweet Suite (I’m a toy/craft content creator) and am always looking for new things to try and do while I’m there. I’ll definitely be circling back to this video for inspo when I start to plan my next trip. And, if you’re willing, I’d love to meet up! If not, that’s cool, and thanks for the always entertaining videos! 💖
This was so fun. Great job Chelsea! I'm exhausted myself just watching. 🤣. Thanks for taking us along. 👏💐🤗💕💕
Nice, thanks. It’s weird comparing your views of NY with those of creator Cash Jordan. It’s like you’re in two different cities.
I feel that way too lol. He probably gets out more than I do and has seen much more than me so I appreciate his take!
I LOVE seeing New York. Thank you so much!!
I absolutely love this vlog! As a New Yorker my entire life, I even got some spots I wanna check out. Thanks Chelsea. Keep keeping it grassroots!
Oh wow, this video really makes me homesick! Especially your walk along the Brooklyn Bridge! 🙌🏾 That baconeggncheese looked good, but you gotta get one from your local corner store! 😆 Never had Juliana’s but Grimaldi’s pizza is top tier IMO. And that I Love NY mural is close to where one of my old, old, old offices used to be, near Sixth Avenue and 17th Street! OK, you’ve inspired me - I gotta make a trip to NYC soon!❤️🗽
Okay Chelsea.. this has to be your best CZcams video yet. Can we talk about that camera quality, that shot of you in the library!? CRYSTAL CLEAR. 👏🏾👏🏾 this video really made my heart happy, you truly showed us what it’s like to have a fun solo day in NYC and it’s ignited my passion to move to Manhattan. I literally paused every time I got up because I didn’t want to miss a single part of this video. Incredible job. You were made for this. 👍🏾
Anthony this means a lot!! Thank you 🥺😭 I appreciate you watching and noticing the little things. Hell yeah on moving to Manhattan!! You got this ✨
I’ve spent a few different days in NYC, and everything you toured was new. Thank you! I’m glad you are showing just how not-scary it is. I’m sure there are times and locations that are safer, but it’s awesome!
I’ve been on a double decker bus tour, a ferry tour around the tip of Manhattan, and several walking tours and never exhausted the sites.
Wanted to tell you that watching all your moving vids helped me get my new apt in Tualatin... finally got out of NE Portland after 10 years. I had all my docs ready to send and got the apt approved in like 30 mins! Thanks girl!❤❤
THATS AMAZING! Congrats!!! 🎉
Loved this Chelsea!
What a great video for us non New Yorkers! Thank you for sharing!
Oh, Chelsea. I was weepy with nostalgia through this entire wonderful NYC adventure. I’ve never walked across the Brooklyn Bridge and I haven’t been to the food places you visited but the rest of it brought back so many fond memories! By the way, I don’t remember a cafe in The Strand either but it’s been many years since I was last there. Is there still a Fat Witch Bakery in Chelsea Market? I have a mug from one of my visits there back in the day. And listening to the soothing water fountains at the 9/11 Memorial as part of this cozy day of course tugged my heartstrings too. I lived on the Upper West Side on 9/11/01. ❤️🗽Thank you again and again for sharing your city life with us! I’m inspired by all of it! Clink, clink! ❤️☕️❤️
Yes, Fat Witch is still there!
Couldn’t agree more on traveling alone! I came to New York last year for Cap Carter concert in a super small venue, ate pizza and went to the after party. So glad went alone. Fun fact that’s when I started watching your videos after I visited New York! 😊
I once had an anxiety attack that I couldn't calm, I went to The Strand and it just soothed me so much!
Perfect timing, Chelsea. I am going in 5 days!
Ahhh!! Have the best time!
LOVE Strand Book store and also Sweet Pickle Books (Lower East Side). As myself and many of millennial bookie girlies I know also looove pickles, I genuinely couldn't have thought of a better business combo!
Maybe not ideal to buy a jar of pickles if you're only in NYC for one day but tbh don't let anyone tell you you don't deserve to eat a whole jar of pickles - you don't need that negativity in your life💁♀
ahahaha a jar of pickles is genius. Endless snacking and prevents cramps from all the walking
Loved this video! Thanks Chelsea! 😊
Dat buffy the vampire slayer card. OOOOOOOOOOO. One of my favorite shows EVER! I need a woman I can Buffy and chill with. haha
Love what you said about traveling alone. I've been to Manhattan 3 times by myself and loved it!!!
Oohh, that book store is such a dream! I wish we had one like that here where I live. This was a great video ❤️
I needed this, so many ideas for my next NY trip!
Hello Beautiful Chelsea ~ Loved spending the day with you experiencing New York City 🗽 through your eyes + the explanation of "SoHo" - I might have heard it before but thanks for the refresher ... 🥰 / Also, you are so close to 100k Subscribers 🎉👏 🍾🥂😊
Love how effortlessly you vlog in public, despite sharing earlier that you felt uncomfortable doing it 😊
Me and My Family went to New York City in 2014 and I wish we had a guide like You. Love this video. Time to go back. 😊
Also the Shake Shack veggie burger is my FAVE. Ugh I know it's touristy but Shake Shack is so good.
I absolutely love this vlog 😊
Loved this, thanks for taking us along!
I really enjoyed that ❤
What a treat to watch thanks Chelsea😊
Thank you for this walk down memory lane! Even though many landmarks in NYC have changed over the years, some things have remained, like Strand Books!! Thanks too, for showing your piece of contentment while eating what I know was an awesome ice cream cone..... I don't believe one can find as flavourful an ice cream anywhere else in the world......
Chelsea...this is my favorite videos!!! I love the music you chose and your commentary on all the places you visited. Visiting New York is a little scary for me to consider but you made it look doable. ❤
Girl, the jazz is easing me into my evening. Love you!!❤❤❤
Your videos give me such a bowl of fresh air!
NYC looks so nice in spring🤩
I live in NYC but still watched this because I never get tired of seeing my city!
absolutely love this video concept!!
Book store my favorite thing I saw and bridge thanks for bringing us! ❤
What a lovely day and tour guide! Thanks for the day out, Chelsea! xx
That was awesome ❤️
I loved this video. I miss NYC so much. I feel homesick when I watch your videos. I feel a trip back there coming on. Thank you!
That is so true.. we don't need to always have friends with you when hanging out in NYC. Plus everyone has busy schedules, so yeah its totally cool hangout in NYC by yourself.. I do that from time to time; because most of my friends have busy schedules 😄
Not planning to visit New York City anytime soon, but I'm here to support Chelsea! Always a good day when you upload!
That was a really good city tour.👍🥰
I enjoyed watching this!!
What a lovely day. I love all your choices to check out in NYC. The vibes are infectious! Thank You!.
Loved it! That was fun! I’ve never been to NYC! I’m sure I’d love it! Thanks for doing that for us!
Loving this Chelsea! It brings back memories. :)
Such a fun video, thanks for taking us along 👌🫶
Absolutely loved this video, especially the music!
Great tour Chelsea, enjoyed watching this 😊
Loved everything about this video 🙂
Great video! You looked so happy and it's good to see you enjoying yourself around your city. Yes to the nightlife vlog!
Wow Chelsea, what a wonderful day you had, I loved everything you saw and did ❤. I’ve never had a Cronut, but that one looked delish. I’m a big reader and love a good bookshop, thanks for showing us those. Walking the Brooklyn Bridge is great and I love looking at the Manhattan skyline from the Fulton Ferry Park. You’re shining in the sun now and the content grows richer with each ep. Would you consider visiting some of the places Jon Barr has reviewed, especially in Queens? I can’t wait to visit again ❤❤❤
Man, I miss New York. Thanks for showing us around and for all the hard work on this video! Nicely done.
I love the nyc vlogss
Totally enjoying this “without getting broke” full day in NYC lifestyle vlog, Chelsea! ❤❤
That was great! Thanks for the tour!
oh wow. i was just thinking that you hadn't posted in a few days. opened youtube and saw your video. day just got so much better :))
This video just came at the right time!! This is my first time in NYC and other than walking in CP I didn't know what to do alone... Thank you!!!
this video is perfect
That was so fabulous. I feel like I spent a day with you xxxx
love this video so much!!!! it made me miss nyc even more and my first solo travel was also in nyc!!! being on a solo travel is definitely an eye-opening experience. Can't wait to be back in the city soon.
What an amazing day seeing New York ❤❤Thank you so much 🎉🌹
Girl, you rock !!!
Love this 30+ min video! More Chelsea time!!
