By 1995 he was telling Warner executives he was going to lose weight and get back into shape, this was during the filming of Under Siege 2, he wore a girdle during the filming of that movie. Afterwards instead of dropping weight he actually gained more and started wearing extremely large kimonos or clothing which tried to cover up his body. For Exit Wounds WB had to contractually obligate him to see a personal trainer or he was at risk of losing the project. He lost the weight for that film and it was his last number one hit box office opening. There was a steep decline in the quality of his action scene choreography coinciding with his weight gain (less wide angle filmed scenes, more close cuts of hands, "shaky cam" etc). Action fans were willing to look past his personal behind the scene issues/rumors, and any acting deficiencies he had because he was very solid in his action scenes. Him not keeping himself in shape is what ultimately ruined his career.
Mr. seagel really is a legend in choreography. David Carradine - great actor and choreographer - at least recognizes this and cinema demands magic and exhibition. You want to transport yourself to reality, what mortal combat really is. I think there are profound differences. Seagal is good, of course, on a film set or perhaps in an Octagon? We will never have that pleasure. Liars are like fraudsters. Some fall for this story; others, not so much.

I don't know if its Arsenio or his crowd, or if its Segal. Cuz I've been watching alot of Segals newer and older interviews and it just seems like there's been a negative image painted of him since before all the BS. But Arsenio has a way of being cringe in the topics and questions he asks certain people. Even some of his jokes and interactions looking obviously fake. Reminds me too much of Jimmy Falon. Gotta leave these celebs alone about politics.
@@djcease1996 Interesting. Though i do like Arsenio and he can be pretty funny. And at times he can keep it real. Just didnt seem like he was doing Segal justice. As many interviews ive seen him do. He is right about that!
