Classic Game Room reviews LOST PLANET 3 for Xbox 360 which is also on PlayStation 3 PS3 and PC! Los Planet 3 is basically Aliens meets Dead Space and it's better than one might expect once you get into it. Jim Peyton is a roughneck colonist dropped on EDN III looking for work and a means to feed the family back home. What he finds is a crappy planet filled with alien monster things trying to eat his brains and break his mech. Also Weylan Yuta.... I mean Nevec, is a bad corporation out to pad shareholders' wallets with lies based on the blood of workers. Can Jim save the day or fall to temptation and/or alien claws and sharp pointy teeth???? lost planet 2 kinda feels like gears mixed with armored core but your spot on about this one being like aliens and dead space..maybe even red faction armageddon. It is a great game for sure.
Lost Planet 2 will always be in my top 5 games of all time

This is like the snow planet part of Dead Space 3 stretched over a whole game but, instead of trying to be scary, it's just people going to work every day, with the aliens being mere annoyances on the way that are not worth mentioning.
You start with a pistol with infinite ammo that's the best weapon in the game(precise, one shot kills regular enemies, it's even good for the final boss), so the combat has no tension.
If you like games like bus or farming simulators, you'll probably like this.
Looks pretty cool
Lost Planet multiplayer was tons of fun back in the day. I'll never get that experience again.

Speaking of planets that lost I'd like to know which genius(es) banished Mark from Earth.
In my mind this was a total pas for me but now after watching this it looks like a good time. I'll have to go pick it up.
I haven't played 1 or 2, and so far it's been fine, no previous knowledge required. I bought 1 as well, and fully intend to play it when I am done with 3. Jump in man :)

I'm really loving this game, great atmosphere and character interaction. True the combat is very GoW derivative, but is that a bad thing if it means it's competent?

I can't help but notice the main character looks a lot like Nic Cage.
Being a fan of the first Lost Planet, I was highly skeptical of this game especially after the second one. However, Mark, you really sold me the idea of actually wanting to play this... While listening to Barry White.

I wasn't a fan of the first two Lost Planets, but this one actually looks good.

Ive seen a lot of hate for this but it looks kinda cool
I know LP2 was a bit divisive, but let's not exaggerate. It had a unique gameplay style that most certainly had a large following. Capcom played it safe with LP3, and now we've lost something really cool.
Spark unlimited made a game that's actually playable?! IT'SA MIRACLE!!!
They should have just continued the story with the cool white mech from part one and bring the great action multiplayer from 2 to create 3.

I actually quite liked LP2. Played it more than once, in fact. And I really liked LP1 also...I don't know what it was, but it made me fall in love with its take on different combat types and monsters.
This game looked like it was trying too hard to be a movie, and not a game, when I saw the previews. Too many quick-time events, too many cinematic shots. Looked like it was going to be easy and not go anywhere interesting.
This review showed me there might be some hope for this game after all.

This Lost Planet looks fun, might pick it up in the future. Still looks no where near as good as Lost Planet 2.
+Edward Roberts (MadDragonED) lost planet 1 was great 2 was meh and 3 sucked, watch any other review of this game to show what this game really is because i have no idea what this guy was doing
+Le Fishy True, I tried this game recently and it was really boring with clunky controls and a mediocre plot. It just has no real identity to it. Unlike the first two. Plus I would take a VS any day over a crappy oversized useless rig.
Edward Roberts yea, this company didnt want to make a lost planet game but they were probably forced to and tried to mix their own idea into lost planet and it just sucked

The only real problem with this game is that it has a split personality. It doesn't know if it wants to be a survival horror game or a balls to the wall action one like the first LP. So in in the end it feels like neither. Good game though, far better than I ever expected.
Lost Planet 2 is awesome
Its actually got a lot of content and worth your money. I bought it for 65 and feel i didnt get ripped off. This game suprised me my best bet is to say this is an above average game atleast pick this up on steam or when gamestop or what not sell it for like 30 bucks.

Resident Evil 5 should have been turned into Lost Planet 2. That would have solved so many issues. At least, that's what I would hope, but let's not forget how many good things this company has managed to eradicate.

i'm sorry, i'm in no position to judge the game based on gameplay videos as well as not playing LP3 yet, but i feel this just looks like an ordinary third-person shooter
LP2 had something about it that felt really cool and i would bet LP1 had the same thing before but LP3 just looks wrong to me

This looks very much like it's just not a Lost Planet game, which is a little upsetting. It still looks fun, but I'm certainly going to miss the quirkiness of LP2.

2 was way better than this- still one of my favourite games!
I dont kno about you guys but this kinda reminds me of red faction armageddon and if i enjoyed that then i can enjoy this. But not yet GTA is coming soon
Lost Planet 2 was great
This was a pleasant surprise after the awfulness of LP2. Not a great game by any means, or even particularly memorable, but a lot better than expected and a half-decent Dead Space alternative.

The creator of Megaman left the company awhile ago. Capcom won't make another Megaman as a way of sticking it to him. This is what I got from another video game vlogger.
It's too bad this Lost Planet got terrible advertising. I loved the first two and didn't know about this one until it was already out. Shame...
I think I would still heavily prefer LP2 over this. The co-operative favored campaign still seems leagues better than this story-centric quicktime campaign. The only gripe I had with LP2 is that the multiplayer was super imbalanced and your bane most of the time was just grenades.
capcom always mess up with the chronology in their games. a prequel of a prequel of an epilogue
I think it's awfully petty the way Capcom has handled this actually. Worst of all they blamed the cancellation of Mega Man Legends 3 on the fans for not being excited and involved enough.
I mean how about this? Make a good game and we'll buy it.

Maybe the creators of these games are getting more and more money hungry? They don't want to find the time to optimize gameplay for the consoles anymore, because time = money^2 in these economically bad times. Just a thought. Most game consoles trough history have yet to see their full potential..
Looks like Dead Space 3 to me.
Capcom didn't acutally make this game, it was outsourced to another developer and was branded as Capcom. That is what Capcom does these days.
I found the second game to be fantastic. But this really feels like it went in the wrong direction, didn't enjoy what i was playing.
