I Was Waiting for God to Answer Me | His Grace

- Jennica was angry when God failed to answer her prayers even after she had done all she could to merit His love. She felt alone. “Then I’m not going to try anymore,” she told herself.
Years later, in desperation, she finally prayed to know how He speaks to her. She discovered that “He cares, because He’s having others reach out to me.”
In this video, Jennica shares how she wanted a relationship with God and organized her life to be worthy of His love. When she felt nothing, she grew angry and frustrated. She wanted to give up on God but knew that wasn’t right. In her heart, she knew God existed.
After suffering injuries in a serious car accident, she endured increasing pain that became so great she couldn’t pick up her children.
“Why am I having these huge trials that other people my age don’t have?” she wondered, leading her on a downward spiral of anger toward God.
“What I was doing … wasn’t working,” she said. She felt she needed to learn how He speaks to her. So she prayed and asked.
Shortly after, a friend who suffered a similar back pain met to share her experience. Others who also suffered reached out to her. Soon Jennica learned she was not alone.
“He cares, because He’s having others reach out to me,” she said. “I just felt like my burden started getting lighter. ... Now I actually have a good relationship with God.”

Try to listen then you will hear.

I have believed in God in my heart my entire life but never took the time to reach out. I never felt that I was worth his time. So many other people suffer in our world with much much worse problems. After I sat down with my local missionaries the first time and started praying. I began to feel my connection with God. I get answers to my prayers. I feel more at peace and calm these days. I'm not cured of mental illness but with God's help some days are better

This is a beautiful story of how God found her way of communicating and knew her better than anyone. He wants to show his perfect love for each of us, all over the world, no matter who we are or what we go through in this world.

Myself I am not a member of the LDS church but my wife is. She got the message to join the LDS church after a faithful meeting with missionaries who were living in the area and they told her to let him speak to her through scriptures. After reading the book she eventually joined and never looked back. Myself I am her husband has been thinking really hard about joining the Mormon Christian faith in the future. But I will let him speak to me first. You all know who he is. :)
Reading the scriptures really helps you feel the spirit. I recommend doing that.
Wayne, I'm 45. I was born in the faith, I drifted away in my early teens, and came back in my late twenties. I had to become converted to Him. Everyone does sooner or later, in this life or the next. More blessings in doing so sooner. All my life, every time I heard or read Joseph Smith's First Vision, ot gives me a sensation that nothing else ever has. A year or 2 ago, some time after I got temple worthy and endowed and ordained an Elder, and sealed to my wife for eternity, my baby granddaughter was inconsolably upset. Absolutely nothing calmed her. So I tried giving her a Priesthood Blessing exactly as the church instructs. Before I even finished, she instantly stopped thrashing and became her sweet self again. He worked a miracle through me. I was the conduit. That strengthened my knowledge of Him like nothing else ever could. It's all true. I am one of His elect, with special protections against the Destroyer. That should be motive enough all by itself. But so many sell this miracle for a mess of pottage by taking the vax. They lose their special protections same as those without a year supply of food storage and those without a temple recommend and those who don't tithe. Only about a fifth of us, at most, will be here when He returns. You can be one of us, it's up to you.

The Holy Ghost witnesses of the Father and the Son and reveals and teaches the truth of all things. After we are baptized, we receive the gift of the Holy Ghost, or the right to constant companionship of the Spirit if we are obedient to God's commandments. Jesus is the Son of God and our loving Savior. He lived to teach us, and He suffered and died to save us from sin and death. Same I went through here. I mean me and Him only. I have learned how essential is to be there for others in those hard moments and not just think people suppose to be self reliant in everything and to say they are ok. No. Sometimes we are not. Sometimes we really need others help, care and attention. And that is very pleasant to the Lord. We are not single competitors in life but Heavenly Father's family .
god talks to us in many ways. but there is a time of quiet in all our lives when god knows "you got this" just trust and remember... i am in a quite time now and i know to wait. i dont want to make the wrong choice so i need to wait.

Thank you so much for sharing this. I've been in horrible pain and totally homebound- mostly bedbound- since I was 22. I'm now 35 and it's worse than ever. I always hate when people complain about some acute, temporary pain but they can still leave the house or go on a walk or have kids or whatever. It totally does feel isolating! Plus it's quite literally isolating bc you can't go to a friend's house or physically serve others.
Chronic illness sucks. It takes a long time to figure out how to do service or hear God through pain. I appreciate you taking the time to share this, honestly.
Chronic illness (and pain), especially from birth, is rough. But you know, we all have different ways to serve the Lord--whatever your trials are, there are ways around it, especially nowadays, what with Zoom, online games, etc. You can write about your experiences, chat--there's so many ways to interact with people where you're at now. There are many, many people who have gone through the same things and plenty of forums/chat rooms to talk to those people. If you want to find a way to serve, there's endless ways to do it.
During one of the times I lay dying from one of my auto immune diseases, and I was just hating laying there in the hospital, I heard an angel tell me this could go one of two ways. One, I could sit here and be miserable, or I could accept that this happened and be at peace about it. I decided to accept the peace.
At this point, I've accepted that there are many things I can't change about my body, and that's okay. I can't change it but I can learn to work around it and find something valuable to do with my time.
Sometimes the enemy just wants us to feel alone so we don't find our purpose amidst our trials...but you're not forgotten, or alone. We're all here together, brothers and sisters. I'll pray for you and hope things get better for you.

Yes! Chronic pain is scary and unbelievably hard! I also struggle with mental illness so it feels unbearable sometimes, but I try to keep an eternal perspective that I’m here to learn and become like Jesus who dealt with every imaginable pain. I know this scripture to be true, and I'm thankful the Lord teaches us to not give up but to keep trying to search him with ALL of our heart. That takes time, and it's a process. But he helps and cares through that process.💛

I love that the Church is putting out these real world, real people with actual experiences and perspectives for us to view, relate to and feel the spirit. These videos are comforting.
Very common failing among many people. But the important thing is that she learned what she was doing wrong. I can relate. Things had gone very wrong for a couple years, and I ended up misunderstanding the meaning of a personal revelation. Because of my misunderstanding, things didn't go as I thought they should have gone and I had a crisis of faith bordering on rebelliousness and faithlessness because of it. One of my sons heard me shout that there was no God, and he now is totally inactive because of it. I did nothing in the way of serious transgression. I just stopped praying, stopped praying with my family, stopped scripture reading, stopped doing what I was supposed to do in teaching my children, and went totally inactive because of events surrounding the circumstances of those dark times. But when I later learned of the complete fulfillment of that personal revelation, it all made sense, and I corrected the error of my ways. Not going to lie. It's been hard getting back into the swing of things! Unfortunately, my actions during those times impacted the family negatively, and influenced my family forever in a negative way. I have one faithful, active daughter. I have another who believes but is inactive except for some social events. All of my other children are now in their own varying states of rebellion, at least two in a state of apostasy, and one even engaging in full-on abomination (who also just requested her name be taken off the rolls of the Church). It's sad, and I am responsible for that, all because of my misunderstanding and lashing out at God. And, as a result of it all, I ended up suffering from carbon monoxide poisoning and most of my family with no further interest in the Church, which all never would have happened had I listened to God from the beginning. Sometimes, we have to learn the hard way, even when we should know better.

@@ranjanty No. Stupid birds made a nest in the vent pipe. And that almost killed myself and entire family. We survived. But all of us suffer from lifelong problems because of it. But we never would have been there had I listened to God in the first place. I'm just glad that I listened the night before we ended up having to go to the hospital. I was about to take a very effective sleep medication and felt very strongly prompted not to take it that night. If I had taken it, we'd all be dead and I would not be typing this right now. I was the only one able enough to walk to go downstairs and collect my family to bring them up where I could vent the house and still keep warm. It was my falling wife, who couldn't stand up without falling, that woke me from my sleep. If I had taken the medication, I would not have been awakened by that. 1500 ppm was what was reported by the fire department. They and the medical staff all told us we all should have been dead. Honestly, with what I had to deal with in the aftermath of that, there were times I wished I had died. In one day, I lost all of my linguistic abilities and training, and broke down crying when I went from one day reading my Greek New Testament to being completely unable to read it the next, after the acute poisoning event. It took years to get some of it all back.

I cried when I heard your story because that was my story as well. How can I be a good mom and be in excruciating pain at the same time? I was upset that I was not getting the healing that I knew Heavenly Father could give me. Something miraculous happened though that was much better than an instantaneous healing.
First of all, through years of physical pain I learned to really pray and to recognize the Holy Ghost. Secondly, I learned about TMS or neuroplastic pain. I am pain free now--nothing to buy--no procedure. Just read this book: Healing Back Pain by John Sarno. There is hope and help ahead. The first thing I watched was John Stossels 20/20 video about John Sarno--something clicked. I know we're probably only supposed to comment spiritually on these things, but pain knocked the air out of me for years. Life is beautiful and I do not believe that God wants us to be in pain continuously. Enjoy this journey of healing. I never want to go back to the dark times of having pain, but I am so grateful for what I learned.
He answered me and i still betrayed him , guess how guilty i am , but one day i again thought to pray and connect and guess what he gave me my answer , maybe not in a way i liked but he proved his presence. He is there and he will always be.
Watching this video is a blessing. There are times when I felt alone. I enjoy talking with people and being nice to them and someone took this the wrong way, I then decided to keep my feelings away from others, there have been days where I feel that I have been put out to pasture and forgotten about. All I have ever wanted to do is feel alive inside, lately I have been turning to food for comfort. I ask myself what have I done wrong???

I myself is waiting for Him. It even got to the point that I "almost" lost everything. I was hesitant to talk to Him at first but as the days and months go by I needed an outlet and slowly I began to Thank Him for everything. He may have taken all of what I have on purpose, to wake me up that He is still there. He wanted me to know that He never left, I left Him and somehow forgot about Him. I have to keep my faith stronger and I know that He will guide me in all my decisions in life. GOD is real y'all. 😇 In Jesus Name. I Pray, Amen. 🛐🙏

I thought God left me but now I realise that I was the one who left him. I thought God will never forgive me. I was an alcoholic, I love weed, most of all I love fighting. One day he talk to me and said that if I change he lead me to heaven. Heaven is such a wonderful place. I could not explain to you all how beautiful is heaven. It's quite a long story about how he changed me. But just know one thing on how to hear God's voice, everyone can hear his voice but we never listen. If we listen then we will hear his voice. Amem
I've prayed, then waited there for an answer. I knew it wasn't likely to arrive immediately, so I didn't give up. Sometimes, I feared I wasn't able to hear the answer. I've often found that, when the answer comes, it's in a way I never expected--and it's always WAY better than how I was expecting it to be delivered. Yes, there are still "outstanding" prayers where I'm perhaps waiting a long, long time. He knows when, and how, I will be best able to receive the answer He wants to give me.

it is so hard to learn how Heavenly Father speaks to you because it is different for every person and when you don't know then you feel as though god is not listening to you and that he is not there for you and it is so hard to feel that. it hard to feel like why can't I feel what others are feeling when I am doing everything that is being asked of me but once you learn how you hear him it changes everything. and the love and grace and gratitude you will have is amazing.

This video is sooo related to my condition right now. I feel lost, I feel God is not there for me, I don't know His will, I don't know where He wants to lead me. I still don't reach that point, that people really care for me, that He is present in people around me. I kinda lost my believe 😞
I'm just a random guy from the internet; I have no idea how to help you and if I did I probably couldn't do it because I don't know you at all. I just wanted to let you know that I know what it's like to feel lost, and hopeless, and disconnected from God, and alone and I'm sorry you're experiencing that kind of pain.
Also, for what it's worth, I was in that spot for over a year and things have gotten better. They hurt like crazy before they did, but eventually they did get better. So I don't know what the path will look like for you going forward, but I do know that it's possible to go from rock-bottom all the way back up to where you can feel the love of God more powerfully than you can even imagine right now.
