  • At the Jamnagar Refinery - the largest in the world.
    They employ 10s of thousands of people and have an exceptional environmental reclamation program.
    There’s capacity to process more crude here. That’s an incredible opportunity for Canada.
    Let’s get pipelines built.

    This guy came to India ,took a leisurely tour of RIL refinery with decent hospitality and after all that he is back biting to take the jobs and trade with India. Surely he would be wanting to trade with Iran or Aramco.

      It takes billions to build such refineries and not everyone is ready to do that, and running it efficiently enough that it can generate profit is whole different task.

    The story behind the Mango thing, one day Ambani realized he had a lot of spare land in and around the refinery. "So let us grow some mango trees there" he thought, and export the mangoes as a side income. And that was it. BOOM> Reliance is now Asia's biggest exporter of mangoes.
    Man, Billionaires can be scary sometimes. He created a massive business out of nothing, just like that.

      It’s not out of nothing lol. Gujarat’s mangoes export was already high before reliance and they are not even in top 5

    • @aasamspb967
      @aasamspb967 Před 2 měsíci

      @@hj2711yeah we know that. But Ambani grew mangoes as a side business to not waste the land. And they naturally became the top exporter. It was not at all planned. Gujarat as a state was the top exporter. But Reliance became the top mango exporting company.

      Reliance industries started building this refinery in the year 1999 and completed in 2001 with an Initial investment of 6 billion dollars and this facility is spread across 7500 acres of land . It’s total capacity is 1.2 million barrels per day and today if u want to build and match the complexity index of the Reliance refinery it would cost around $35-40 Billion.

    Build more pipelines and send Alberta oil to India. Canadian provinces are just good at bickering at each other on dumb issues. Bc says no to oil pipelines- Alberta says no to bc wines and renewable energy.

    If you want to have an environmental friendly industry then move away from oil and natural gas. Go for renewable and other non conventional forms of energy.

      The world needs oil and natural gas for energy and to move product around the world 🌎 at a very fast pace. Planes.. burn fuel to move cargo and people around the world. How many planes and jets are moving cargo and people around the word using electric batteries motors?
      Same goes for Trains, semi trucks, huge cargo ships, busses, cars.
      What would happen if all the world stops drilling for oil and natural gas all at once tomorrow?

    • @truethat7681
      @truethat7681 Před 2 lety

      @@stevensawyer7428 you can't just abruptly stop drilling for oil and gas. However the world is working on the technology that will help us have planes, trains and ships run on hydrogen and battery. It might take time but will happen sometime in the near future. As of now we should use EV cars, two wheeler and semi trucks and make sure that those EV charging stations are powered by renewable energy. Similarly we should make sure our electricity does not come from coal or natural gas.

      @@truethat7681 And what you say is exactly what the owner of this refinery is doing. He is moving into Green Hydrogen in a big way. You see, for India, moving away from oil is not just a question of fighting climate change. It is a question of energy security. A strategic goal that the Indian government has been pursuing with single minded focus for a long time. India is investing in renewable energy and cutting down on use of oil by a massive amount, setting goals in international climate meetings and then achieving them 6-7 years ahead of schedule, and then announcing newer even more ambitious goals. India is doing its part.
