The Bears have stolen the Ravens' offense, and nobody is profiting more than Chicago’s quarterback Justin Fields. The Bears were one of the worst offenses in the league, but when they finally stole bits and pieces of the Ravens' offense, now they're suddenly one of the best. Fields has used his legs more and is ripping off big runs like never before, so what exactly did the Bears steal, how do they put their own wrinkles on it, and how can defenses adjust? This week’s episode uses the all-22 coaches film to analyze Chicago Bears Quarterback Justin Fields.

Lmaooo that “load up the box more than Nick Cannon” line was underrated. 😂
Shit made me die🤣🤣
Lol he just had a 12th. I think most people know where that joke is going
😆💯
for those that dont know, nick cannon was the old cartoon mascot for kraft dinner. back in the 1970s, he would appear in tv commercials, half-man, half-cannon, and fire at the kitchen cupboard, loading up the shelves with little boxes of kraft dinner for kids to enjoy. just in the "nick" of time, as the old slogan goes.
Shawn Kemp and Dwight Howard are trying make an 8 deep basketball team for themselves. Nick Cannon got a pewee football team in the making with depth behind them at this rate.
No body even knew about Justin Fields athleticism because he killed teams with his arm. When it all come full circle for him then he'll be a superstar. The kid is a new breed of athlete.
I like him a lot.Just hope Chicago does right by him. They haven’t had a great track record developing there Qbs.
@@thomasadams9395 this looks like a new change in development for a QB. I've never seen one in Chicago with a good development plan at all.
Nobody outside of the Cobb County area who never saw his HS games knows he could run but the area knew he could throw too.
He is not a better athlete than cam newton, micheal Vick, Lamar Jackson etc stop saying dumb shyt he’s nothing new 😂
Sorry, he's not a new breed, he's a pretty good chapter in the Book of Lamar.
The best thing about it is Fields is smart enough to get out of bounds or slide. He actually gets hit less when he runs instead of staying in the pocket and getting sacked.
Yeah that’s how you know most people just box score watch and don’t turn on actual games I’ve seen him take harder hits in that “pocket” if that’s what you can call it more than when he’s in open fields scrambling
U don’t watch bears games apparently.
@@lucrative6477 I’ve watched every bears game this season goofey and it’s true. If I’m wrong please tell me a play he got hit harder down the field than in the pocket?
@@Deeznuts-cz5mq in the dolphins game, when he ran for 178, the harder hits he took was getting sacked by Ingram, and mustipher giving up that pressure over the middle when he missed Kent. People don’t understand that the most vunerable you can be is when 4 280 pound grown men are trying to tackle you, when you are trying to throw a football. Not you trying to evade a much smaller person in space in which you can give yourself up and look around because you aren’t looking at a receiver
@@koodigocrxzy465 Eh, maybe.. but I'd argue physics and inertia even with smaller players, would equal greater force compared to a QB standing still in the pocket against heavier guys.
This offensive strategy is more genius than anything Matt Nagy ever did as a playcaller.
Luke Getsy and Matt Eberflus making adjustments after our lost to the Commanders was fantastic and actually lives up to coaches doing change rather than just saying it.
That’s not saying much tbh Nagy was garbage
@@SFBWasTaken Thing is I've heard buzz that Getsy was a Joe Moorehead guy way back in the McCarthy era and in college. So the RPOs and QB options were going to be there. I guess it took time to see how to have Fields execute it. Which now has more play action and shotgun designed runs which are perfect since QB running teams are using those to spice up their overall run game. At least this could be the identity of the Fields and the Bears offense the rest of the way and entering year 2 of the rebuild.
Why is everyone criticizing Nagy. His plays were the reason the Bears were never worse than 6th in seperation and never worse than 5th in open targets. His plays were good, his QBs were just trash, as well as any other position on offense.
Let's see if they start calling Fields a RB....Also a big difference is the league has seen Lamar and the Ravens offense for 4 years now. We'll see how the Bears look in the next few years. I'm happy for them though, dynamic/electric offense AND they gave us a STUD LB :)
Our rookie LB is better ;)
Have fun paying an off ball linebacker 20 million lmao
They already started calling him a RB
Fields is doing things Lamar hasnt even done
Meh Sanborn looking better on the Bears than Roquan did this season tbh
Nahhhh, my boy said “load up the box - even more than Nick Cannon” 😭😭😭
Shhhh 😂😂
Man your outros always get me hyped. I am so incredibly happy for Justin Fields. Loved him at OSU and now he finally gets the chance to show what a beast of a player he is at the NFL level.
Thanks TLC! He's gotta do a better job of taking care of himself out there, but when he's going, he goes hard
This is Luke getsys offense he’s not afraid to adapt
This might be a reach, but does any of this speak to why Cole Kmet's value has been rising, too? If they're playing a Ravens-like offense, does that explain why they keep relying on their tight end in the red zone?
It's pretty simple but yes. The defenders that are usually tasked with guarding a TE on routes now have a LOT more to worry about because they're the same defenders that have to play against that option and zone read game. OLB and SS.
Ok cool stay disciplined at the line and stop Fields, Montgomery, and Herbert. ✅
Also guard a 6'6" TE 30 yards downfield who blocks like a lineman on most plays. ❌
People forget fields has a arm too
And to think, the Bears have had chances to beat the Commanders, Dolphins, Vikings, Cowboys and Lions this year, but were either failed by their defense, robbed by the refs (Fins game), receivers dropping passes that hit them in the hands (Commanders game, but pretty much every game), or doing stupid crap like not running out of bounds during their 2 minute drill and getting the ball embarrassingly stripped, sealing their loss (Vikes game).
Yeah but in the grand scheme of things it’s better to take those Ls. Looks like the bears are getting a top 10 pick with should be either a weapon on the oline or a weapon for fields. Not much you can do against the refs unfortunately but the Vikings and commanders game were definitely winnable if fields had even an average squad around him.
@@Deeznuts-cz5mq Yea, you're right. It's frustrating in the moment, but the growth of Fields has been incredible and higher draft picks are really the victories here.
That is exactly everything that happened. Was talking about that the other day, Bears are coming for the league especially 2023
They lost by 20 to the cowboys how Tf is that close to beating them 😂. They got dominated in every Q they only caught up at one point bc Dak sucks dyck
@@topdawg182 cowboys didn’t pull away till nearly the end of the 3rd when Montgomery fumbled. Comparing the talent levels of both teams this game should’ve been 49-7 or 49-14
What till Justin Fields get some more weapons and a better offensive line to show off his Arm strength and elite pass placement and deep accuracy combined with this these same concepts we building up on ✊🏾💯
They have no clue what’s coming at all ! 🐻🐻🔥
Hope Fields doesn't have to wait as long as Lamar for his supporting cast.
I think what they stole was the play book from the Giants, they got tortured by play action passes, roll outs ect… they are doing everything the Giants we’re doing when playing us and Jones beat us by his legs….
Zach Wilson needs Sean Payton
Everyone need Sean Payton

I like how our offense is moving
Fields is a great thrower though so as soon as he gets up to speed with that he’ll be impossible to stop
??? Get up to speed with what?
So happy for Justin Fields
Both the Eagles and Bears coaching staffs after a concerning amount of time at practice one day:
“Hey I know Jalen/Justin aren’t really that great at this throwing the football part of playing quarterback but I just noticed they’re really fast. Like *REALLY* fast. Maybe we should call 10-20 designed QB runs a game using the playbook for that guy that won the MVP that one year?”
i’m starting to think nfl coaches are dumber then they appear
If fields had hurts team he would never leave the pocket again. Bros playing with practice squad players at oline and his leading td receiver before this 4 game stretch was dante pettis
Not great at throwing the football? Who is fields throwing to? He has multiple dropped passes a game and his receivers can’t get open. Fields was never a running qb he just has to because of how bad the Bears receivers and lineman are. Istg y’all don’t watch games😂
You don’t know ball
@@chosenone3119 10 drops. Between every receiver. This entire year. 20th in the NFL. Good try though.
Amazing video Alex! Keep em coming bro! Your channel is amazing.
Fields is going to be special! The league forgot he was the most accurate QB of his class! Csnt wait till the oline and weapons are better!
Thanks WSF!
Good tip on running outside more so the QB doesn't get beat up. Take notes, Kyle Shanahan.
About time. This type of offense should have been installed the day they drafted Justin Fields, that would have only have made sense.
Some people (Matt Nagy) can be stubborn
It's not rocket science. This just let's you know that a lot of coaches inthe league are just their as a result of nepotism. A lot of these guys do not have any real merit.
@@shamarj Yeah, some coaches feel that the players they have should adjust to his system, instead of the coach adjusting his system to fit the players he has.
@@vamoneygroup I find a lot of coaches tend to operate with arrogance. They feel they can win with just their "offensive brilliance" alone, where good coaches know the players win the games, not the coaches. Building an offensive system to accentuate your player's abilities is what a good coach does. NFL games aren't won with X's and O's alone anymore.
Sadly Nagy and Pace's careers are tied together. So Pace wasn't going to axe a guy he chose and look stupid himself that way. If anything Pace lucked out getting Fields at 11 on that draft year. Field didn't get lucky going to a team that didn't know what to do with him the moment they drafted him. Thankfully Poles and the coaching staff seem to believe in Fields.
Good one Alex! So much going on there.
Thanks Steve!
Man I can't wait for next year when the Bears use their picks and wide open salary cap. Hasn't been this exciting to be a Bears fan in forever
The Ravens complement Inside/Outside Zone Read with Inverted Veer; however, the Bears are trying to RPO, but they don’t have the WRs.
They do have 💯mil in cap room next year though…
And my goodness they better spend all that money on Oline and WR ….this defense is young but has lots of upside and with the draft picks they have they can keep adding to the defense.
Oh my goodness, that Nick Cannon joke caught me offguard😂😂
Slide it in there
"load up the box, even more than nick cannon" mannnnn
The music on these be hittin like crazy
That nick cannon bar was fire
They've stolen the Ravens offense, scored more points over the last 4 weeks, won 0 games, and got Fields hurt. Brilliant.
6:17 shoutout to #35 Blasingame underatted off season signing for the bears. Great blocker and is the Pat richard of the bears Offense.
Dope! JF1
Once they start building pieces around him they will definitely taper off the running for fields…obviously won’t get rid of it all together but I don’t see this being sustainable even with how great he is at it.
holy cow id never thought id have hope at this position untill this year, someone pinch me
Imitation is the best form of flattery. But, the original copy will always be the best version.
~ a Ravens fan
Good stuff
Thanks Jubei!
As a Ravens fan it feels so weird to see other Ravens acting like we are light-years behind the curve and have absolutely zero chance to win in the playoffs without a generational WR talent when there are other teams out here trying to steal our playbook
Fantasy football has convinced ppl that not having a big name reciever means you dont have a talented team. We def need some better wrs but that’s literally our only weakness on the team
@@Iamdempsey Yes and no... the couple games we've blown big leads, there were receivers wide open. There's still constantly receivers wide open.. our secondary needs some work, for sure.. but the different style of defense against the Bills in the 1st half of the game was great, they shut them down. I just wish they could do that all the time.
Offense - yeah. We need to figure out how to better utilize the talents we have - it would only help the offense flourish.
Defense - nah, they need to get better/more consistent. Some days they lock people down, and some days it's like they forgot to bring the locks to the game.
Can you make a video about the Jets defense?
Lamar Jr. has out-run most of the teams in the NFL, let alone other QB's and RB's.
Fun Fact - NFL is a copy-cat league:
Chicago is Baltimore
Dolphins are K.C.
. . .
. . . and yet, all they are doing is what every NFL fan/player/coach has known for decades.
"spread the defense wide, and spread them deep, then put the ball where they aren't"
"You need counters, for the defensive counters . ."
As a Ravens fan we stole our offense initially from the 49ers too. Copy cat league indeed.
Can you do one on the Vikings defense?????
Looking at this post 2023 at the beginning of the season 2023 the Bears did not exploit this but instead insisted JF become a pocket passer. They struggled the first 3 games. Games 4 and 5 Justin had monster games throwing 4TD’s in each from the pocket. Then he got hurt. When he came back the used a combination of run and pocket passing. With the right scheme JF should create a high scoring offense.
As a Packers fan, I like the Bears 🐻
As a bears fan the Packers have hope to go deep in the playoffs this year
7:19 Ayo? 🤨
Is that triple option RPO not blocking the edge not from the Eagles offense? See vs Dallas this year neutralizing Parsons after he wreaked havoc the first half.
Ravens offense is designed around Lamar as the Bears are finally designing around Fields, but outside of designed QB runs, which RPO's are not technically, I don't see their offenses as that similar. Much more similar to Eagles with Hurts minus the receiving threats
They really using a Sheff G beat as the background music 😂😂😂
Not quite. But definitely taken a fistful of pages from it. I would say if anything, look at both the John Harbaugh + K. Shanahan trees and combine for multi-pronged attack. The Bears are probably gonna have a Top 5 offense next year, even with the other teams seeing what they are doing. They got great RB's + Fields, and seems like Claypool + Kmet + Mooney will have continued gains.
I dunno bout the Claypool trade. Seems like he's just a solid big body for the run block game really. PLUS Bears gotta pay him after 2023 for another contract. I think this team is an athletic 2TE formation type of group in the future. So Poles may be in the market for a talented TE in the future taht is underused by other teams.
Hopefully they don't copy the ravens passing game
This is hilarious. This is why I don't listen to people's predictions about football. You can't really know anything until you're watching the games
Ravens' O minus Greg Roman = good
Loaded up the box like Nick Cannon 🤣💀💀💀
👀👀
Deadass was thinking about this a couple months ago like why don't the Bears or any other team with young extremely mobile QBs just use the Ravens offense
There are different ways to get explosive runs depending on personnel. Arthur Smith with the Falcons is favoring a bunch of run looks ALONG with Mariotta who can run. Daboll/Kafka are taking advantage of QB run formations too for Jones' athleticism along with Saquon Barkley as an RB talent. If anything it really changes up the shotgun look for mobile QBs who can throw. As oppose to QBs who want to play under shotgun often but don't have the talents to threaten a seamless RPO game.
Ravens offense is one of the most complicated and difficult offenses to run in the entire NFL. Only MAYBE does niners or Rams compare. There are some qbs you can tell just aren't ready yet to run this kind of offense. This is why Lamar has been so remarkable. He can run ANY offense. Remember, he had to master 3 entirely different offenses in less than 2 years as a rookie and sophomore. As Fields begin playing more and more you will slowly begin to realize just how much of an elite and cerebral player he is and has to be in order to play that style of football.
I love hearing pundits saying this guy or that guy is now the new Lamar, it's fun to read and watch...until you watch Lamar and realize the others are *almost* as good.
The difference is we winning games and they're not. So obviously they doing something wrong
The running quarterback Is always a problem for defenses.Until defensive coordinators figure them out.
or they get themselves injured, which the always do.
*Most rush yards in a Regular Season game. Think Kaep had more in a playoff game.
Finally.
titans should do this next
Win does it transfer into wins 😭😭😭😭
It’s about time they realized their qb is a good runner lol
U mention what defenses do to stop the Ravens it’s been 5 years …The Ravens still haven’t been stop when healthy
and no teams stay healthy all year, so maybe a system that depends 100% on everyone being completely healthy all year and being able to gel is not as good as one where you can sub new guys in and out and keep winning. They have only averaged 13 ppg in their playoff games with Lamar. Obviously their system is not a long term solution.
How about that...
They were actually using systems that benefit these mobile quarterbacks instead of just trying to make them into something they are not.
Jalen hurts is a good example of this.
Lamar Jackson's MVP year really did set a standard on how to develop a fast quarterback
I just personally wished they use the pistol formation more but that's just me
What’s their record?
0-4 with their "new" offense. Oh, and an injured QB.
Is Colin Kaepernick a comparison for Justin? And how long will this work for the Bears?
Kaep is terrible comparison because Kaep had a canon like Fields but he couldn’t throw with touch
Fields on the other hand throws a great ball with touch
Lazy take “is this sustainable”
That's pretty decent, but super fast, kind of straight line (ish) guys who are big physical dudes with big arms but might struggle with some of the "quarterbacky" things
I hope they dont trade justin or get rid of justin
Justin Fields is great. I've always been high on him, but this year he's just proving me right. 749 rushing yards is crazy! And the Bears really have got something going with their new offensive style.
I have a friend who's a Bear's fan who insists that Justin Fields is the best quarterback in the league. I don't believe him -- yet. But that statement isn't as absurd as I once believed it to be.
He sucks

@@wellitsherenow It's a fact, he 'can't throw the ball'. I guess all his passing TDs were all runs that got miscounted as passes. Sorry, how could I have made that mistake

It looks better on the Bears anyway Fields is bigger faster and stronger than Lamar
"stole" hahahahaha! The Ravens got it from someone else, whom got it from someone else, whom in turn got it from someone else, whom got it from someone else else else else else etc etc lol
Just admit you stole it, it's ok
This is what you call smoke and mirrors. It will run out and teams will find the answer to make him throw. At that point its a beat down because they don't have a qb
You didn't understand a single thing he said in the video lol. It's not smoke and mirrors. They're designed run concepts that force the read defense player to pick between covering double option runs or a throw. A flea flicker is smoke and mirrors. This is an actual run offense.
Then its up to the teams they face in their schedule with the run defenses to slow down or stop Fields. Any goober with legs at QB can run this but Fields getting space at the sides can rip it for 20+ yards and potentially a game breaking TD. Lamar is the only other TD in between the 20s whose a threat with his legs to have explosive runs like this at QB. Its not like teams can load up the box against Fields and have him stop running either when the Bears are punishing most teams on single high safety looks.
@@t4d0W they will and then all the bears fans will have thier hart broke because they thought they had something but never did. It may work for a yr or 2 but it will set the bears back 10 yrs. @@NirvzHD did you see today's game? He's not able to throw a football
@@wellitsherenow First, I'm sorry I hurt you so much that you felt the need to respond to this thread, again... But just because you don't understand anything about Football doesn't mean you need to be ridiculed.
For your sake, I'll break down today's game for you and then you can explain to me why you think he can't throw a football.
JF 14/21 (66% completion percentage). Incompletions = 3 batted passes, 1 dropped catch, 2 balls thrown out of bounds, and 1 deep overthrow. 1 INT off the dropped pass. 1 passing TD for 16 yards I think?
His only missed throw was a deep shot. Players are usually between 30-50% accurate on those. You can't win them all. 3 batted balls is a lot, but not uncommon for a bad/young O-Line that doesn't keep D-Linemen from jumping. 1 dropped pass, not Justin's fault, and 2 throwaways which protects the ball and down and distance.
This is pretty efficient for a QB, especially when the INT you throw isn't your fault. He can only run the plays he given and the coaching staff obviously leaned on his ability to run today. So much that in the final 2 minutes they call QB sweep and he's hurt as he's pushed out of bounds, second play the call QB draw and they hurt his left shoulder. 3rd play is the bobbled pass/INT. Justin is not being asked to throw frequently, hence his stats, but nothing about the numbers today can lead anyone to believe he can't throw a football, but I'd love to hear your rebuttal.
Sounds like you have a love/hate thing goin on about Justin Fields..... Lol.. BEARDOWN!!!
L plagiarism
Just wait until they sign Jim Harbaugh next off-season
Look so called genius play callers put these young qbs in systems similar to what they ran in college and build from there.
Nice breakdown, wait until they get legitimate offensive linemen, because he really is a pocket passer; it's evidenced by his college tape.
