Love hearing The Eagles live. I never got to see them live, though I always wanted to. This is one of their most iconic songs. Rest in peace, Glen Frey!
I attended the Eagles' concert at Texas A&M on November 4, 1972, even though I was only 8 years old. My brother Michael was a freshman at A&M and part of the entertainment committee that booked the Eagles. My parents said, "Let's go see this event that Michael is involved with organizing." Initially, I resisted, but had to go. Funny how things changed when Glenn Frey put on his sunglasses and they started playing "Take it Easy." I was like, "I know this song!" Meanwhile, my dad was saying, "It's too loud, we need to leave." Haha.
The Eagles were, IMO the greatest band to come out of the seventies and they never wrote a bad song! Their vocals added a whole new band to the mix much like the Moody Blues and Crosby Stills Nash and Young! They still have the all time record for all time sales of a greatest hits album that will probably never be surpassed!
Yes, India, yes, we were just at a Peter Frampton concert the other night, my childhood love and I said almost the same thing to my hubby, "It's like the guitar is another language, he's clearly speaking to us through it." I love when the musicians enjoy playing together and the music itself. I love the Eagles.
I had the pleasure of seeing the Eagles, in Alpharetta, GA in 2008. Glenn Frey (pronounced Fry) was still alive. I took my mom and my daughter. They’re about my mom’s age, but their music transcends through time and age. Great reaction. My daughter, who was 20 at the time, said that was the best live band she’d seen, and I agreed.
When i left my ex wife that song i played that help me get over her. 17 years later and she is in the same b.s. as she was when I took the kids and went on our own. Due to the drugs i dont think she'll ever get to the same conclusion. Sad...
Take it to the Limit stole the show that night, (it's still here on CZcams) with Randy agreeing to do the song live one last time, even though he hated to do it live.

Desperado- what they'll play at my funeral. The Eagles are a fantastic band, one of the top 10 of the 70's and a great live band. So much talent in one group! So lucky to have seen them live so many times.
Same here, only 52 years ago when my parents dragged me to see the Event my brother helped organize at Texas A&M. Turned out to be the Eagles. I was only 8 but recognized Take it Easy from the radio. I still remember my amazement as Glen Frey put his shades on and introduced the song while the crowd went wild.
One of my all time favorite bands. So much talent in this band. So many hits! Then, went on to have very successful solo careers in the 80’s and 90’s. Miss then so.
One of the few bands that are better live than recorded (and they are already great recorded). It is almost impossible for modern groups to get that perfect harmony without auto tuning.
Yes more Eagles please, "wasted time" is one of the most beautiful songs ever imo. So much talent in this band, every member sings lead on different songs. RIP Glenn Frey.
Most bands would be really good with "A" Glenn Frey, or "A" Don Henley, "A" Joe Walsh, etc. The Eagles had all of those guys and more in one incredible band. No wonder they're so beloved.
"Hotel California" was their big hit. "Life in the Fast Lane" captures the coked-out decadence of 70s southern California. My favorite is "Take it to the Limit."
That may have been from their March 21, 1977 show at the Capital Center in Landover, MD USA. The fans were loving it, having the kind of blast you just can't get with dynamite.
There are several songs from this '77 show that are outstanding and examples of how good this band was at their peak both singing and instrumentally. No auto-tune. The twin lead guitars of Don Felder and Joe Walsh were outstanding.

The Eagles were HUGE in the 1970s! Their "Greatest Hits: 1971-1975" album is the best-selling album of all time in the U.S., with 38 million units. It went back and forth between the Eagles and Michael Jackson's "Thriller" as the No. 1 seller in the U.S., with Michael regaining No. 1 after his death in 2009 sent sales spiking. But in 2018, the Eagles regained the top spot again.
I remember when this came out in the summer of 72. I was staying up in Boston with relatives and this song was played just about every half hour. When I went back to Ohio 2 weeks later oh, I was suffering from withdrawals because it wasn't being played in the Midwest. Finally I called up our local radio station and requested it only to be told they never heard of the song or a group called The Eagles. I remember laughing and saying "Oh, you will"...
A great moment in my life? Floor seats at the old Cleveland Brown's Municipal stadium for their Hell Freezes Over Tour. They still sounded the same - and that concert was over 25 years later. These goes wrote, played and sung all their own songs. Amazing!
Yes ma'am!! The Eagles is my second favorite band of ALL TIME!! Their catalog is completely AMAZING!!! The Eagles are one of the HIGHEST SELLING BANDS OF ALL TIME!! Put them in the file under Super Group... What a group of gifted musicians.... They wrote and inspired some of the very best. Thank you for taking the time to expand your horizons.. pronounced Glen Fry..
1977, Still a Senior in High School. over 40 yrs ago. seemed like yesterday. blink twice and it's gone. Music makes us all time travelers in our minds.
Jackson Browne wrote it and gave it to the Eagles to record. They were friends (both LA bands) The Eagles made a hit of it; then Jackson put it on his first album. On that album was a song "Jamaica Say You Will" which was before Reggae music hit America. Most folks did not know where Jamaica was, or even that there was an Island Nation called Jamaica. I named my second daughter Jamaica (born in 1980)
The Eagles IMO is one of the best bands in the world. They have amazing harmonies. New Kid in Town is one of their best songs where their harmonies are amazing. Plus everybody in the band sings. Not just one person, but most of their hits are sung by Glenn Frey (the lead singer on this song) and Don Henley (the drummer). They sing majority of their hits, but the other band members have had their songs become singles and hits. Their biggest hit is Hotel California. You should see that video. The drummer sings lead on that song and the dueling guitars at the end are amazing. You should listen to the whole Hotel California album. Its the third best selling album in the world behind. The Eagles Greatest Hits Volume 1 album and Thriller.
I firmly agree but I personally value their earlier more because of its country music vibe and story lines. Hearing music from that era is like seeing an old friend.
This was the song I used to sing harmonies in the car with my dad ! He sang the greatest harmonies! My parents were separated at the time. They got back together and have been married since 1971. My parents best friends. Thank you for reacting to this song❤️
Yes, the EAGLES (Joe Walsh in particular) knew how to have a good time. He was notorious for trashing hotel rooms. People either love or hate the Eagles. I love 'em. Soundtrack of my youth. Listen to them warm up with harmonies with seven bridges road.
Definitely one of the most talented bands ever. All of the members of this band are top rate players. I was lucky enough to see them in their "Hell Freezes Over" concert tour back in the 90s.
As a guy who has actually stood on a corner in Winslow Arizona, as a girl slowed down to take a look at me (and then gave me a ride), I heartily approve this excellent reaction video and song.
You cannot go wrong with just about any song they have ever done. Fabulous group, perfect instrumentation and great voices. Don Henley, the drummer here, was also a great vocalist and soloed some fine songs.
When Glenn Frey died, the first headline I saw simply read: He made the world a more beautiful place. Ain´t that the truth!
Absolutely!
ABSOLUTELY‼‼
Totally. He made millions of people love the Eagles music forever…….quite the legacy.
Sees Joe Walsh: "They look laid back but like they know how to have a good time." Oh honey. You just hit that particular nail on the head.
Joe was and perhaps still is one of the wildest men of rock .

Eagles are forever rock icons. Every song is a winner!
I've seen these guy live many times, so fun! One of the Greatest live bands ever!!!!👍👌😁 RIP Glenn Frey!!!!😢
Got to see them in 2008. They were amazing. 💜
A great moment in my life? Floor seats at the old Cleveland Brown's Municipal stadium for their Hell Freezes Over Tour. They still sounded the same - and that concert was over 25 years later. These goes wrote, played and sung all their own songs. Amazing!
India, please delve into more Eagles! They put out endless hits with some of the most beautiful harmonies and melodies ever.
Yes ma'am!! The Eagles is my second favorite band of ALL TIME!! Their catalog is completely AMAZING!!! The Eagles are one of the HIGHEST SELLING BANDS OF ALL TIME!! Joe Walsh one of the lead guitarist also has some great solo songs of his own as well as Mr Don Henley the drummer!! Please check out
"Hotel California "
Put them in the file under Super Group... What a group of gifted musicians.... They wrote and inspired some of the very best. Thank you for taking the time to expand your horizons.. pronounced Glen Fry..
1977, Still a Senior in High School. over 40 yrs ago. seemed like yesterday. blink twice and it's gone. Music makes us all time travelers in our minds.
Legendary Group A supergroup They are simply one of the best bands to ever do it
Jackson Browne wrote it and gave it to the Eagles to record. They were friends
(both LA bands) The Eagles made a hit of it; then Jackson put it on his first album.
On that album was a song "Jamaica Say You Will" which was before
Reggae music hit America. Most folks did not know where Jamaica was,
or even that there was an Island Nation called Jamaica. I named my second daughter
Jamaica (born in 1980)
Jackson Browne wrote most of this with Glenn.....you should check out anything 70’s from Jackson.....
I often wondered why Jackson Browne and the Eagle's sounded so much alike.
ese.hombre they also sang with Linda Ronstadt in the early 70’s.
In the 70s Glenn Frye and Don Henley lived in a house where Jackson Browne lived downstairs in the basement apartment.
Just saw Jackson Browne in Vegas last week. I've seen him live 9 times in 4 different states. Best songwriter ever. Still writing new stuff.
yes. Late for the Sky
They were so talented that they didn't have to hop all over the stage. They just stood there and brought the excellence.
Agree but I would have to say that their harmonies in Lyin' Eyes is better😁
I firmly agree but I personally value their earlier more because of its country music vibe and story lines. Hearing music from that era is like seeing an old friend.
Love the tight jeans!!! Ofcourse especially the song, fabulous. Love ALL of their songs - brilliant!! xx
Loved this, need more Eagles.
Tip of the giant iceberg of the eagles !! Tons of great songs, and don’t forget all the solo stuff that came from them also !!
Yea The Eagles were those dudes! Their music is so classic and timeless. ❤️
Not just a Ford, a flatbed Ford :)
YES!
Definitely one of the most talented bands ever. All of the members of this band are top rate players. I was lucky enough to see them in their "Hell Freezes Over" concert tour back in the 90s.
My favorite band! I could listen to them all day long !!!!
As a guy who has actually stood on a corner in Winslow Arizona, as a girl slowed down to take a look at me (and then gave me a ride), I heartily approve this excellent reaction video and song.
My parents have seen them live several times, i got to see them last year, Glenns son Deacon fills his shoes, he looks and sounds a lot like his dad!
You cannot go wrong with just about any song they have ever done. Fabulous group, perfect instrumentation and great voices. Don Henley, the drummer here, was also a great vocalist and soloed some fine songs.
I love how this song promotes a very chill, laid back approach to life. Thats the attitude I try to have.
One of the best bands.... Glen Fry, so very missed... RIP and sing with the angels.
