good stuff! this has been one of the best tripods I have ever used for my way too heavy spotting scope, and that is compared to tripods 4 times this price. good vid, thumbs up.

Why did they stop making them with padded legs? This product in the video is no longer produced as displayed.

Will this work with the vortex diamondback spotting scope without having to buy any extra parts?

good vid but we want more details! Does the balance hook remove and does the tripod have a low height setting for a bench? thumbs up.

We're glad you liked the video and thanks for watching! This tripod does come with a balance hook. The legs of this tripod do not allow for multiple leg extensions and the shortest height when the legs are opened is about 24" which makes it a little difficult to use as a table top/bench tripod. Thanks!

Some tripods will allow you to change a setting at the top of the leg so the tripod can be very close to the ground. The Vortex Pro GT does not have this option. You can open the legs so all 3 leg sections are out and the tripod stands at 67.1" with the center column up or you can have all the legs pushed together so it's just 1 leg section and the tripod height is about 24".
Here's an example of a the Vortex Summit XLT tripod leg (www.eagleoptics.com/collections/tripod-kits/products/vortex-summit-xlt-tripod-kit) that has variable heights: www.rainierarms.com/media/product/23b/vortex-summit-xlt-tripod-tri-vt-st-3-by-vortex-optics-4b3.jpg
      Thank you,

@@eagleopticsvids would like to possibly correct you here. Each leg can be adjusted to 3 different settings by the lever at the connection. If you open it just a few cm you can move it over to change positions. By doing so you can get your optic right above the ground but I do not have measurements. The legs virtually go straight out if you do it.
