    I have used everything on the market to clean my collection of copper pots and pans and various other items. I stop this video and got out my Homer bucket put to gallons of vinegar into the bucket with a box of salt. Placed my Cooper pot into the mixture and it was clean in minutes. I have spent so much time cleaning my Cooper stuff this gets my number 1 top video on utube!!!!💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖

    It worked, like right away. Cool deal. I've been struggling lol. I have this bracelet and it's pure copper. I always wear it. It has its properties and protections and it's just been looking very tarnished. NOW ITS SHINING. YAAAAY. 😎

      i have some jewely that have crystals in the wire wrap...will it be okay to submerge the whole piece in there like you did with the crystal in it?

    • @LauraBethLove
      @LauraBethLove  Před rokem

      @@Awareness_With_Dennis It all depends on the crystals. If they are somehow treated, such as dyed, etc., I cannot guarantee that they won't be harmed so I don't want to say, "sure, go ahead" so you may want to do more research on this first! (if it were me, I would probably try it, but would not keep it in the solution for very long and would rinse well afterwards.)

    I wonder if this would work on VERTIGRIS on antique jewelry. I have a gorgeous antique green crystal 4-strand necklace (believe the crystals might contain lead). Each crystal openback and bezel and prong set. The setting is brass (with goldtone wash). However, there is vertigris on ALL THE PRONGS holding in over 400 stones. To deal with this manually would be maddening! I wonder if there's an easier way. Also wondering if the vinegar would remove the rest of the goldtone wash that remains... TIA.

    • @LauraBethLove

      I would be hesitant to use this on antique jewelry

      @LauraBethLove  Před 2 lety

      You are very welcome, thanks for watching. It it is an antique, I would not clean it until you check with an antique specialist as cleaning may lower the value. Otherwise, you can create a paste with this recipe by adding a bit of flour and mixing it to a toothpaste-like or thinner consistency. Good luck!

    Hi thanks for this , but what about aluminum foil lined up inside a none metal bowl, real hot water, and a tea spoon of salt, and arm and hammer baking soda stir and put jewelry in it it works on gold, silver, stainless steel and diamonds. But I have never tried it with copper. Can you make a video doing it the way I just describe with copper. Please let me know thanks. I just subscribed

    • @mazplants6689
      @mazplants6689 Před 4 měsíci

      You need an acid to get the patina off copper. Baking soda is a base, so it wouldn’t work. Any acid should work, though, some are just more effective than others. Vinegar is both effective and cheap, which is why it’s often chosen over other acids.
