Thanks for the great film. Helps to confirm the decision we made to order a 540MQ 180 Auto last November. Now we just have to hope Knaus manages the promised delivery time of end April/beginning May🤞and the new (Box)Life story begins! Looking forward to a great time together with lots of trips from here in Germany back to the Highlands.

A Boxlife 540 with the double bunk beds is fantastic. To be able to sleep 5 people is fantastic. Also, a version that you can attach an extra seat for having 5 people in urban use would be a nice option too. If you could add an undercarriage LPG container with an external connection for been able to top it up in a gas station and have the option for LPG heater would be fantastic. I can not understand why all manufacturers insist to use internal LPG canisters that they take too much interior space and be more dangerous for leaks. Also an all diesel model with a webasto diesel cooker would be fantastic as an option too. Let's hope that the company will hear some of our requests. I have great faith in Knaus family and their innovative spirit.

Wunderschöne Ausstattung. Aber vermutlich dürfen dann Fahrer und Passagiere im Schnitt 45 kg wiegen, damit man gewichtstechnisch noch eine frische Unterhose und Zahnbürste mitnehmen kann. Das ist was für zwei schlanke, kleine Rentner.
Hallo Matthias F. Tatsächlich haben wir beim BOXLIFE ganz ordentliche Zuladung. Gehen wir mal vom 630er aus (also dem größten und damit schwersten). Hier kann man immer noch 520 KG Zuladen und das bei der sogennanten Masse im fahrbereiten Zustand. Die rechnet bereits einige Sachen mit ein und trotzdem bleiben beim größten noch zusätzlich 520 KG übrig:
Masse des Fahrzeugs mit Standardausrüstung gem. Herstellerangaben (inkl. Bordwerkzeug)
+ Kraftstofftank zu 90% gefüllt
+ 75 kg (Masse des Fahrers)
+ Alu‐Flüssiggasflasche(n) (11 kg) zu 100% gefüllt (entspricht 18 kg Gesamtmasse)
+ Frischwassertank zu 100% gefüllt (Fassungsvermögen des Frischwassertanks ist je nach Fahrzeugmodell begrenzt auf 10 ltr.**/ 20 ltr.**/40 ltr. ** Frischwasser im Fahrbetrieb, sofern technisch vorgesehen)
+ Toiletten‐Spültank zu 100 % gefüllt
+ Frischwassererhitzer zu 100% gefüllt
= Masse in fahrbereitem Zustand
Von dem her ist das auch was für ne ganze Familie ;)
@@KNAUS Danke für die ausführliche Rückmeldung. Bei meiner Recherche ergab sich immer eine viel zu kleine Zuladung. Mir gefällt der BOXLIFE sehr gut. Bei einem Test des Schwestermodell ergab sich ein Leergewicht in fahrfertigem Zustand des Testwagens von 3.300 kg. Das Fahrzeug wird in der Grundausstattung mit 2.750 kg angegeben. Ich bin deutlich über 1,90, meine Frau 1,85cm. Zwei "Kinder" die mit 13 Jahren schon 1,80m und das entsprechende Gewicht haben. Da bin ich schon mit leerem Tank überladen. Ich bin jetzt im Februar noch einmal auf der F.r.e.e., vermute aber, die Fahrzeuge sind für unsere Familie aufgrund der Gewichtssituation nicht praxistauglich. Man kann doch auf dem Campingplatz keine Dieselheizung betreiben. Bzw. wenn das jeder machen würde, stinkt das doch wie auf der Autobahn.
