I surf with and I am good friends with CJ. I have the 9’6” prototype of the parallax and the only fin I’ve liked in it is the 9.5” parallax fin by Flying Diamonds that was specifically designed for this board. When the waves get a little bigger than chest high or it’s super choppy and windy, I switch to the 10” parallax fin. CJ designed them for months. The only other fin I’d consider would be the Involvement Fin also by Flying Diamonds. It only makes sense to use the proper fin that was designed specifically for this board. It’s like if you put all terrain tires on your car. Yo loose gas mileage, right? I have found that any other fins have slowed me down, inhibited turning and makes the board track. Narrow based fins should only be used for this boards full potential. Hope that helps somebody. ✌🏻🤙🏻

What would you recommend for the 9'3 Parallax board? I have the 9.5" Parallax fin but not yet the board.

The involvement 9" works like a charm 🤙

good advice. Tried 10 different fins with this board. Little flexies are fun in junk and the fin made for it works great on long walls.

Bought one from Real Watersports (9.6) and this review is spot on. Really like the board. Good job

I surf the 9.9 and would be interested in what fin you settled on? I am riding the Flying Diamonds 10.5 recommended for this board.

      Hi George,
What do you think about the Parallex?
I am a big dude and looking for an easy longboard. At this point I think about the Parallex or the HI4.
      Thanks 🤙🏽

Jerry, the board is very light which I love and is designed to be ridden more from the middle, not a bad thing but you need to adjust to it. It is also super fast when trimmed. my good friend has the Hi4 and is over the top about it. My want, for my style would be to have a little more drive, little a 2+1 setup.

@@georgeshafer5154 thanks for your quick reply!
What made you choose the 9'9"?
Yes I am thinking about the Parallex, Neo Classic, Outlier or the HI4.
      Difficult choice for me...
The HI4 I saw Harley surfs it from the back and gave me an advise to surf the HI4 9'3".
I surf in the Netherlands so not really strong waves.

@jerryspringer I was coming off of a 9.8 2+1 and wanted something with similar volume. the length is not a limiting factor but I would consider heavily the single fin vs 2+1, a completely different experience. CJ rips the parallax, but is that your style of riding.

@@georgeshafer5154 I see. Yes I surft many board but with my hight and weight longboarding is more comfort. This evening I go go a surfshop wich has 2 sizes oulier model. Just checking.
For now my first choice will be the 9'9" Parallex.
Did you like the Parallex more than the HI4? Or didn't you surf that one?
      Thanks again 🤙🏽
