    I like boards within the range of 8.37-8.6 they are really stable and I feel really save riding fast and i land tricks more constantly. At first it felt hella big and heavy because I went to a 8.4 from a 7.75 but then I started doing more leg workouts and got strong enough to do flip tricks as easily as I do then on the 7.75. I highly recommend riding larger boards but in the end of the day, it’s about having fun skating.

    Its really preference rather than foot size. I skate an 8 and I have a size 13 shoe, works perfectly fine. If you are just getting into skateboarding I would recommend an 8 or 8.25 just to learn what your preference is. Then you can decide if you want to go bigger or smaller. But I really wouldn't recommend going down to a 7.5, 7.75 I would say is minimum

    So, I’m 43 and my 7 year old daughter is staring to get into skating. She heard that I used to skate- I was so-so, rode street mainly and Upland Pipeline, oh, roughly 25 years ago. I had a Schmitt Stix Lucero 2 and then a Caballero. I’ve seen Black Label had released a modern version of the classic Lucero Joker 1 and the width is 8.8. That seems tiny compared to what I road in the 80s. I’m 5’8”, wear a 9.5 shoe and about 155. Since I’ll be relearning everything, what do y’all think? • @tacticsboardshop
      @tacticsboardshop  Před 3 lety

      Decks of the same width don't always have the same proportions, some can have longer or shorter wheelbases, and some can have longer or stubbier noses and tails. Different skaters have different preferences for wheelbase and nose/tail length, so they make all sorts of different shapes and proportions. It's just up to the manufacturer to decide what dimensions they want for each batch of boards. I hope that clears it up a little! - Tim

      Either one will work great! You'll get used to whichever deck size you choose. If you're still growing, an 8.0 might be better because you'll grow into it. Also, there's generally a wider selection of 8.0 decks, and it might be nice to have some more variety to choose from. Just go with your gut! 👍 - Tim

    What size trucks and wheels u recommended for me if i use 8 inch deck? thankyou

    • @tacticsboardshop
      @tacticsboardshop  Před 3 lety +2

      For the wheels, that's going to depend what you want to do on the board and how you want it to ride. If you want to do tricks get some hard wheels (99a - 101a) between 52 - 56mm. If you're just wanting a smooth ride and tricks aren't a priority, then get soft cruiser wheels of any size. As for the trucks, get ones that match the width of your deck. Here's a quick list of truck brands and sizes that will work with your 8.0 deck. I hope this helped! Cheers! - Tim
      8.0
      Independent 139
