  • I am really excited about the #smashourstash2021 challenge this month of anything goes. I have been trying to come up with more ways to use all the paper in my bins. This idea is simple to implement and you can use two sheets or more per card. I really hope this inspires you to get into your stash and smash those oldie but goodies supplies.
Here are the two very crafty and creative ladies who cohost this challenge.

I just found this video, and like you I have a nonending stash of paper! I regret so many trees had to die to furnish my hoard! I see there are many ways I can try, and hopefully reduce my stash. I love the free way you let yourself do the cards. I have been so structured with my cards, and need to relax and just have a good time! Thanks for the video.

I am very inspired by you. I made 12 cards yesterday from a 12x12 paper pad that I have had for at least 2 years. I made ephemera from the individual squares that were included with paper strips behind them, stickers that were part of the pack and I used nearly all the paper! I have several 6x6 pads that I can use, too. I’m so excited to get going on it. Thank you!

Here’s a poem my favorite high school math teacher recited one day : “Ours is not to question why. Just invert and multiply.”
    Enjoyed watching your video.
And if I may add: There was no need to apologize, in my opinion. I didn’t see the video in question, but from listening to you, I am fairly certain that you meant nothing malicious by your comment.

Hello Lynne, Loved the poem. I loved the some of the ways we were taught with rhyme, rhythm and poetry growing up. It really helped the information stick. I hate the idea of someone being offended here and so I figured it couldn’t hurt to do all that I can to keep kindness at heart. We all need grace and it’s an act of kindness to give it when we can. 🥰📄✂️🌈💕 I am so glad you’re here. Such a fun exchange.

I find it interesting to make card bases out of pattern paper especially if the paper is heavy enough to stand up to display. Making the 6 x 6 paper into an A2 card size was very informative because I never thought of doing that. I find it enjoyable to buy pattern pads when they’re on sale & the colors or pattern interest me. I like the one idea that you did when a card base was made out of pattern paper then adhered to a white card base. I’ll be doing this card base idea to see what I feel about it. I won’t know until I try it. Thanks for taking the time to post.

I have started telling myself that will ruin and waste away sitting unused. I have started to think that God blessed me with this for a purpose and that I should make lots of fun things to help brighten the world a little even if it’s for a moment, a day and that has given me a new license to cut up all the paper. Use all the gems and embellishments. To take all these blessings surrounding me and put them back into the world to bless others. Plus, it makes room for the new blesses. Lol happy crafting and after all... it’s just paper so go wild. ✂️📄🌈🥰💕

Honestly, I am in a mindset of reminding myself that my opinions are just my opinions and there are so many other perspectives that I can’t even comprehend. Well I don’t mind apologizing when I feel people are hurting, but I am also never outwardly addressing anything personal except my journey. I have always been extremely sensitive when it comes to dealing with people. In fact, it kept me from doing CZcams for four years. Finally I came to a point where I accepted that I would have haters and naysayers, but sharing and connecting was more important than those negative side effects. Now I get to connect with lovely people like you and so it is worth it. So glad you watch, comment and share kindness. Thanks so much! I appreciate you.

Hey sweet Tina, I sure hope you are feeling better and crafting again. I would say at 65lb pound paper is probably as light as I would go for a base. When I use lighter card stock then I just layer up more... no surprise there. Lol. I find that a layer on the front and one on the inside does a nice job of making lighter bases more substantial. OMG! This video gave me so much inspiration. I tend to use a much "structured " style of cardmaking...which is putting me in a creative rut. I will use the torn paper or rustic style more in my scrapbooking, but I have always been afraid of that style in cardmaking. But your cards look fantastic! I also learned something today with the "dots " around your images. It makes the image look so artistic that fits so well with the torn paper design. The heavens have opened and the sun has shown the light to me! Lord knows I got plenty of paper to work with! Do you sell stamping up products? If so I'm very interested in that label punch you used in this and last months video. I have been trying to get some ideas for some masculine cards, so I think that this style will work for some. All your ideas are so fresh and inspiring. Thanks again for your time and sharing...Stay healthy and happy my friend.
