ok so i was just watching my video right and this ad happens. for some reason i like to watch ads in case i find something new i want to support or something i want to buy etc. but i saw the ad with the dude at the restaurant and he was supposed to kill this pig for his dinner. my family is vegetarian and my mother told me about these kinds of restaurants before but i laughed it off "how could that even exist?". when he was in the room with the pig i had watery eyes. like any normal sob story ad for homeless dogs or some shit. but i was like you better fucking not. then he doesnt and pets the pig and junk and i was smiling because "wow hes a good person i wish there were more people like him". when those people come in and the pigs screams it just got to me. so i had a mental breakdown after the ad and was fucking sobbing for a solid 10-15 minutes just sitting here on this chair. so here i am now, typing this comment with my tear stained face.
i had this same sort of reaction when i was on some form of social media or other and i saw what pig breeding houses to do pigs who are sick or have a disease. the fucking throw them in a pit and bury them alive. i also cried then.
thank you for reading this far i know im an emotional idiot when it comes to this sort of thing, but i dont cry very much. it's only animals. i didnt cry when my grandfather died (i know this makes me sound like a sociopath but like hear me out) but i cried during this ad. i just wish there weren't psychopaths like those in the ad who create the idea of that restaurant, make the restaurant themselves, work there, or eat dinner there.

The saddest thing is, it is a norm and when we reach to grab a package of meat we see it as meat not as a persons cut body parts and organs. Our eyes and ears are adapted to it that is why its very normal and simple like those thousands of mosquitoes we have murdered in our lifetime willingly yet unconsciously. We being an animal can't relate our worldly matters with another animal. Though no other animal doesn't know this they act as a unit in a chain but we so called intelligent animals knowing all this can't realize our non superiority. When we will understand that we are not here just to make families and die, we are here to realize how grand our family is and how great role we have to contribute in it. A man who has realized this whole universe as his own kingdom, he has nothing silly desires left, he walks as a king and rules his kingdom by spreading love and prosperity to everyone and leave his mark in millions of hearts.💖

Plus humans are omnivores not carnivores we are one species don’t compare to another species. Humans were made to eat 90% plant and 10% meat that 10% comes from fish because it has a little protein that we need. Average day Americans kill pigs just for its ribs and then cover it in all seasoning ( which comes from plants, you use seasoning because meat isn’t good) and you compared yourself to a lion okay so that mean go kill an animal and eat it raw you know like every carnivorous animal.

Me: the point is dogs and cat are classified pet because for the loooong years of co-workerking. Dog's are exelent for many work you can give them many applications and cats they are exelent predators and keep mause away. That's why they became really clouse for human. Pig's, goot and eccetera are exelent for food and you can use them for everything like dress and milk. That's why they are bred. Then of course each country has its own custom.
I mean in mine (Italy) you eat even the horse, the donkey and the rabbit. It's food but nobody forbids you to make the rest a pet after all who can't distinguish food from a pet?

@@guardianangel7589 not really. Indians have had a deep connection with cows for generations. When a larger percentage of people lived in rural India almost everyone had a cow at the very least. The cow was thought of as a mother (Indians call a cow gau mata i.e. cow mother) that provided the family with milk, which was then also made into butter and ghee, essentials of the traditional Indian diet. Therefore cows weren't killed as killing of a cow was thought of as grave as killing your mother. Western society treats dogs and cats as part of the family and like companions / children and would be horrified if people tried to cause them harm.

Vegans/vegetarians would eat meat, or possibly even humans to survive too... but that's not reality. The grocery store is not a survival situation. 😉
Most people aren't starving on an island in the middle of nowhere. It's literally as easy as buying different items off the shelf instead of meat. The vast majority consensus from health organizations worldwide is that we can live just fine on vegan diets. (Assuming someone isn't being nutritionally irresponsible and trying to live on fruit cleanses and salad or something like that. But that applies to literally every diet. If someone doesn't know what to do, use a calorie app or something to figure out how much/what to eat.)
People eat meat because they haven't thought about it very much and everyone else around them is doing it too, not because they will die without it. Meat is a non-essential luxury item at best (and wastes massive amounts of resources to produce. Keep in mind we have to feed these animals the whole time before they get slaughtered. And they eat/drink a lot and take up a lot of spaces to house, as do the crops grown for them, etc.) Plenty of top competitive athletes are also vegan. If professional athletes can do it and be totally fine, so can most other people, since their dietary needs are likely more simple by comparison.

@@dgaftillwediee in order to feel pain one requires a brain, central nervous system, nociceptors or nerve ganglia. Plants have none of these. Therefore it makes no sense to assume plants feel pain.
There is a difference between “alive” and “sentient”... plants are alive... not sentient.
And secondly... even if plants did feel pain (which they don’t) it would still be better for the plants if you went vegan... because the animals you eat are fed PLANTS. Most of our crops are grown and harvested to feed animals! So there would be far fewer ‘plant deaths’ if we stopped breeding 70 billion land animals each year!
