This unfortunately is not a joke. Maybe you try to put a bit of humor behind the cruel reality that this animal life really is. They only have months to life. Why? Humans become so compassionate when we hear a person is about to die in 4 to 6 months. They're wish is to spend time with love ones, eating their favorite food, having a normal life. Believe it or not, so are they. Mothers keep away from their babies. They raped them to give birth to continue with this sick circle. It's okay that you like meat, vegan or vegetarian. Personally, I don't force no one to make that choice, but believe it or not.
I talked for them, I believe in the education. Thats the key of the world can change to a better home for everyone. They deserve happiness, freedom, their babies. They deserve much more!

I was vegetarian for 2 and a half years, now I’ve been vegan for nearly 2 years. I am healthy, much better at cooking and much happier knowing that I can eat amazing food with no harm to any creature. It was the best choice I could have ever made for the animals, the planet and lastly for myself.

I would have no problem with that, it's a tradition in my house. It's just the softness of the city people. It is a fact that livestock must be kept in respectability until "the time comes". In a village, the farm animal often has a better place than the farmer.
The biggest problem with eating meat is factory farming. Truly one of the greatest tragedies in the history of this planet.

I encourage u to leave dairy too, it might be difficult in the beginning but we have vegan alternatives. The truth behind dairy industry is worse than meat industry. At least those animals are killed in one shot, but the cows are tormented and tortured their entire lives just for the sake of milk.

This is an amazing short film. It really really makes you think. Every living being in those factory farms has a personality, emotions, and is capable of being loved and loving you. Yet we slit their throats for 15 minutes of taste.
I refuse to eat vegetables that were grown with less than 10cm of space to grow. Do you know the amount of area that is deforested just to grow plants.

It isn't an accurate depiction of how animals are killed. They legally must be sedated before killed or often times they use thick metal bolts that kill the animals instantly, no pain, and definitely no horrific shrieking like in the video. Illegal stuff happens for sure, but if they are found out they are swiftly shutdown, animals cruelty laws are in the books, and God hopes they are enforced.

You get led to a room and get to dig out fresh potatoes and pick some tomatoes and bell peppers or something for your meal. Sound pretty sweet. Thanks to this video, I have been vegetarian for nearly four months now. I had given up red meat but I was still eating chicken. I ate chick fill a when I got home March 28th of this year. I was watching a CZcams video that day when this short film came up as an ad. I love short films so I watched and it ripped my heart out. I wanted to puke my food back up but I have a stomach condition so I didn’t. I haven’t eaten a piece of animal meat since. I try to avoid all animal products for the most part. I have a dog, his name is peanut, he’s my profile pic. The pig reminded me so much of my beautiful baby boy. Who the hell am I to decide what animals I love and what animals I slaughter. I’m never going back. Thank you, you gave me the final push that I needed.

Carolina Salinas i agree, it’s much much much worse for animals than what this shows, but the exact reality is that if handed the knife people would not kill, and they’d try to save the animal from someone who cane at the animal with intent to kill. They’d yell something like “Please stop, I’ll have the potatoes!” like vegans do every day. Not deceiving myself. It's really not that dramatic. You kill something, you skin it, you harvest your meat from it, then you cook it, then you eat. Simple sequence of events that has existed for centuries. I think many people have these negative feelings now because they're not exposed to what it takes to get their food. If you were regularly exposed to it, however, then yeah you would just view it as a process to eat.

i’ve been vegetarian for 1 year and 6 months and this video made me so happy, i love how more of these types of ads are popping up now
All the males in the egg/dairy industry are killed not long after birth because they can't produce eggs or dairy. And when the females can't produce a profitable amount of produce, after a life of abuse they get slaughtered for cheap meat, chickens at 1.5 years old and cows at 4-6 years old.

This is inconceivable for several reasons 1) the quality of the cuts of meat will never be as good as they could be because what if I went there I don't know the proper way to slaughter a pig so I would probably damage several of the cuts of meat 2) what is the pricing of this? like do I get charged less because I'm doing some of the work myself or more because they have to care for a live animal. 3) the health issues, god the health issues. I don't think I've heard of any restaurant having the live animal in the restaurant other then like fish or lobster. 3) pretty sure if a waiter found out someone was new, they would have explained what was going on. 4) no way in hell that the waiter could go from pushing the button on the tables and leading the guy back within such a short time span especially in any sort of larger restaurant scale unless they are super dead. 5) those friends are the worst friends anyone could have, sure come to this restaurant with us, its a totally normal restaurant. 6) pretty sure its illegal to have a room that the public has access to that is impossible to get out of once you're inside. like ring ring hello, oh its the fire prevention officers they are coming to shut you down for having improper fire exits in the slaughter room 7) this would be like the planned parenthood of restaurants, with peta and their hypocritical beliefs, and other just vegans protesting more often then not, so you would most likely have to have some sort of police force on scene. 8) so say you fixed all the previous mentioned stuff, you bet your bottom dollar that there would be people like the couple who would be like yeah lets share a steak, and would enjoy it because it is like hunting but easier 9) and finally what do you do about larger animals like the cow? if the whole stick of the restaurant is killing your own meal, what do you do if someone just wants a single like 8 oz. steak? they kill the cow and then what? male cows on average are 2,400 pounds and females are 1,600 pounds. That is so much wasted meat what do they do with it? 10) is there a similar room for like side salads, like here is a bowl have fun in the greenhouse room? 11) what if someone orders like filet mignon do they have to kill the cow and the pig? then are the animals in the same room, or is it like which would you like to kill first? 12) I want you to know last chance for animals I would without question go to this restaurant, if all of the problems I have explained previously were fixed. I get fresher meat then I have ever had in my entire life.

This has been going on for tens of thousands of years. Hell, go back in time 150 years and this is basically how the vast majority of people in the U.S. ate meat. Get together with some friends, kill a pig, butcher it, cook and enjoy. I don't know why some people (like this filmmaker) try to make the natural process out to be such a terrible thing. The morality of killing animals aside. Most people say that they wouldn't kill animals themselves, yet they allow financially desperate people and immigrants to do it for them, suffering alcoholism and PITS disorder a form of PTSD. If your food would have screamed for its life before arriving on your plate, maybe you should take another look at the menu. I am a wild life vet and ethologist i also run a clinic with my husband and 4 shelters, and for that reason we hire 27 people. 5 years ago i was sued by a bunch of people because of my choices.
When i want to hire somebody i do not get them into my office, i invite them for lunch at a nearby restaurant and let them order anything they want. When they order meat or dairy product, i don't hire them. I am vegan, i have been since birth, so are my parents and grand parents, and to me as a vet hiring a meat eater would be exactly the same as if i was a paediatrician or a kindergarten director hiring a paedophile to take care of kids..
But i was sued for not hiring meat eaters in shelters where we rescue farm animals from the slaughterhouse.
I won the case but it cost me a lot of money in legal fee, money which could have saved so many lives.

Victor Kolot There’s no reason to eat flesh. We get all the same nutrients without corpse PLUS antioxidants and fiber when we eat plant foods instead, and they have plenty of protein. No vegan ever gets a protein deficiency, it’s not even possible. You can live on just plants but you’d die on just meat. Erectile dysfunction (first symptom as arteries clog), then all the fun like diabetes, cancers, stroke and heart disease. Compassion and health go together.
This is a great idea. I hate how detached we have become from harvesting the meat we consume. As a hunter only a small amount of the meat I consume is what I have dispatched, harvested and processed myself. It’s always better to me, more respectful to the animal when it’s my game meat. It’s just not sustainable or viable for most of the worlds inhabitants to do it. We have lost the ties.

I wish intensively reared pigs looked that healthy, by the time they're sent of to slaughter they have tail, ear and flank bite marks and wounds, they're so scared of humans that at that point they'd start shaking if a human got that close to them.

I agree and I also think that non vegans respond more compassionately to animals that look cute which is why they may have purposely used a cute baby piglet instead of the realistic usually in pain dirty ( but still young) pigs as non vegans treat them differently. All animals deserve to be respected and not thoughtlessly killed unnecessarily regardless of how "cute" they look to you, is the eventual point that people will hopefully come to.

I have an uncle, he used to have a little farm, when he was taking care of pigs, he would enter their place and play with them, scratch their bellies and ears, even every pig had a name, pigs where happy seing him, and he ate some of this pigs. I dont eat pork, but this kind of attitude is good, even if final is eating an animal, attitude is important!
