I wanna know something basic.... Is hepatic failure at the end of the line where pt needs a liver transplant? Or are "hepatic failure" and "hepatic impairment" interchangeable terms? Such a basic question that I can't find anywhere. I've found info on fulminant hepatic failure, but nothing about the basic definition of hepatic failure.
