Removing the pair valve and evap unit on Suzuki DR 650 Part 1 of 2 To order this Pair Valve and Evap delete kit click on link below www.bushpigperformance.com/pr...
Only thing I would comment - my understanding is its injecting extra fresh air into the hot exhaust manifold to combust unburnt fuel/air mix that gets through the valve overlap, rather than just diluting the air mix coming out the exhaust. Its why you get all the popping when you roll off the throttle with the stock systems.
tampering of federally required emissions systems is against the law, at this point in time these modifications have been ignored for prosecution, even the installation of aftermarket exhaust systems is tempting the enivitable of the EPA cracking down and putting stop to this long standing tradition of modified motorcycles, the current state of government do gooders will eventually realize the huge amount of fines that can be collected by a greedy administration
Great video. Goes into deeper detail and is a bit longer then I'd like but I'll continue to follow you. If you put an over sized tank on....I'm drooling iver your orange oretty hard right now.
Never explained what to do with that T exactly or the vaccine line to the carb. This procedure reduces the exhaust popping you get on decel, which is annoying.
I have the same bike for the last two years, and it’s a great bike to run. Easy to maintain and fix. Couldn’t be more happy having this bike.
One of my sons just bought the same bike , colour two weeks ago, he loves it.
I have the 2014 model, and I really enjoy it, a great bike for sure.

Thank you for the comment and sharing your knowledge. For such a small simple part it does provide an important function

Excited for part 2. Doing this along side you 😎
Do you have other changes you are doing also?
I do plan on rejetting, eventually a new tank and seat as well. Trying to turn it into a sort of adventure bike like many others do.
Great quality video and you are very pleasent to "hang out" with :)
Thank You for your kind words. 👍

I do like the orange also. Some orange mods are coming.
So the port on the top of the carburetor is the source of vacuum and i can just run the line from there to the petcock to operate the fuel diaphragm?
Yeah that is what i ended up doing, or you can leave the T in line and use the vac line cap Bushpig Performance included in the delete kit
You never explained WHY you removed the valve? What is the benefit?
I prefer not to have hoses and lines running all over, my preference is neat and tidy
Less things to get surprised with and less things to troubleshoot if and when I brake down
