Pointing dog's first training hunt (vizsla).

My 6 month old vizsla exposed to birds and a .22 cal blank blank pistol for the first time. It was really dry and windy that day so scent was not easy to find but he did well for his first time out. Training was done using quail and pigeons at a hunt club I belong to. The pigeons are dedicated for use of the members while training. The birds are under a small bird release kick cage until the dog locates them.
It was a new experience for me as well.
