    Incredible! I can't get over these gems! Thank you both for saving all of these and the amount of work you put into getting them in such beautiful shape ❤

    Pink jacket just in time for spring 💐💐

      Yes! I had another nice pink jacket that I worked really hard to get stains out of the shoulders, only to discover a big hole in the front that I’d either missed or destroyed in the process. That oxiclean can be harsh sometimes. 😢

    Your clothing finds are fabulous! So many unique finds, I probably would have priced all of the shirts at $20 or 2 for $35. People always like a bargin, even if they purchased one shirt you have room to haggle. Its smart to take some pieces to sell , to see what people are willing to pay, so you can adjust your prices on the next trip to the flea. I would only take a mirror no pop up tent, vintage clothing is more delicate, people wear make-up. I can't wait to see your followup videos. Some of those Hawaiian shirts would go for alot at the calif rosebowl. Sasson 80's, so many cool and unique finds, best wishes and abundance on your finds.

    Getting such a kick seeing the items from the sixties. It reminds me of my mother's wild outfits from those days. The black polka dot dress is a Princes Di wannabe outfit. You're doing great with the pricing. Just remember people will negotiate at the market, so higher won't hurt.

    The shirts will sell at 25. If higher, you will be driven crazy with offers.

    I've used Magic Sizing spray starch on vintage linens and clothing. It makes a real difference in how crisp an item can look. Incredible finds! We are about an hour south of Canada, our flea market opportunities pale by comparison!

      Thanks! I’ll check it out! I’ve never used starch before - heck, I rarely even iron my own clothes! I just might try it because when I first saw that jacket I was floored… but it was musty so I had to wash it. I just want it to live up to its potential 😂

    The lavender shirt at the beginning looked like a Guayabera shirt. I couldn't tell but check into it before you sell it. Fabulous finds, ladies! ❤

    Hard to be the star of the vid when not feeling great, you are a trooper Melissa and great work on all the cleaning of the lot. My least fav part of the work. I just finished cleaning 17 pairs of Crocs. 😖😖

    LOVE those clothes! Your prices seem very fair to me. Do you know the back story? Was the person a clothes reseller or just collected them, just curios.

      That’s some perspective! If we sold them in NYC or had a storefront we would probably be pricing them higher.

    Melissa , do you have a crotchet hook it will make it easier to drag the string from the price tag thru the labels or buttonholes.

    Those GAP shirts don't sell for a lot.

  • @LannieLord
    @LannieLord Před 4 měsíci

    Vintage clothing runs SMALL , generally. XL in vintage - is VERY hard to find. 2X did not exist. People run bigger now. My experience with vintage clothes on eBay has been dismal because of the "size" issue. I suggest Etsy & Postmark ONLY . I don't even TOUCH "Medium" if I see it. I have had amazing cool MOD psychedelic clothing over the past 20 years. Never did well with it on eBay. Such a shame . By nature; it's easier to find vintage ladies clothes than mens. Back in the 1960s and even 1970s - men did not wear loud colorful clothes like women did. Men were also harder on clothes , and me were more prone to throw clothes away . Women were more delicate and preserved their clothes better -- that is why it's not unusual to see crazy colorful patterns and such at sales .

    • @LannieLord
      @LannieLord Před 4 měsíci

      If you are selling those at the flea market ... I dunno. Flea Markets are man-centric normally . And like I had said -- the size is a big issue (headache) . I would price them between $10.00 and $20.00 maybe .
