    Hi Richard, I know when I video waves in my footage they never shows as large as they looked when on the water. In your video they appear large enough but how large would you estimate them to have been. Best/Roy

      +Roy Schreyer I agree waves never come out big on film. But iIt wasn't really the wave height that was the problem, but their steepness. It was a classic "wind against tide" situation, only the wind was 30 knots+ and the tide was running at 9 knots (we had 11 knots on the gps and 2 knots on the log at one stage). The steepest waves had reduced when I took the video (as I was steering and we were going to windward I had other things on my mind). That was after we broke the main halyard, the final straw of many things to go wrong. You can see how quickly the water flattened as we pass the yellow catamaran about 1/2 hour later. Sailing Anarchy had some good photos taken by a CG RIB, you also see us briefly in the 2016 race trailer in an aerial shot taken at the same time, we watched the plane fly over us
