- In this Affinity Designer tutorial we will take a look at using the pen tool to trace around a sketch before switching to the pencil tool to add the details. We will also cover arranging layers and learn how vector art is constructed to make a design.

I would love to have the option to purchase a new computer to continue creating content for my subscribers. My current iMac is 7 years old and has seen better days. It’s become slow and unresponsive when using newer apps, which makes it difficult to record new videos. what a brilliant tutorial so well explained as to why you do what you do to achieve a very good bit of art others only say what they're doing but not why we need to do these things and knowing why we need to do such things goes a long way to being able to create stuff on our own so big thank you

A well explained tutorial, but... You'd be better putting the sketch as the top layer, dropping the opacity and drawing under it. This is how most people work and it makes more sense. Also, when colouring everything white (or any other colour), just fill one shape, copy it and paste the style to all the shapes. It would be much quicker and easier.
