  • We listed all the activities and places to visit while in Curaçao.
    Kokomo Beach (Not Free)
Kokomo beach is a beach bar hidden in between cliffs. It is a bit further away from the usual tourist destination, so more locals can be found here. The resort is beautiful, and the drinks/food is amazing but the real reason why to come here is to get some of the best sunsets you can find on this island.
    Hato Caves (Not Free)
Yes, Curaçao has an impressive cave system too! This cave system lies in contrast to other caves at a higher elevation which makes it a "warm and humid" cave. But no worries, there are plenty of fans to circulate air. The chambers look impressive and the sculptures leave plenty of room for your imagination to decide what it is.
    Playa Piskado (Free)
This beach is a popular fishing spot. This attracts loads and loads of sea turtles. If you plan on seeing sea turtles while in Curaçao you definitely want to visit this place.
    Grote Knip (Free)
The grote knip is a large beach is pristine blue waters. It is the perfect beach to go there with some friends, buy some drinks at a local store and enjoy your day. There is also a "kleine knip" which is a similar beach but a bit smaller. It's best to leave after sunset due to criminal activity.
    Blue Room (Free)
After a small hike, you will find a cliff under which a giant underwater cave lies. How you enter it is by swimming approximately 8 meters underwater. To truly see its "blue hue" visit late in the afternoon, the sun then shines through the blue water into the cave. Please note that only good swimmers should enter, during those 8 meters of swimming underwater there are no air pockets to get up and breathe. In the cave itself is plenty of air.
    Tomasito Cave (Free)
This cute little cave is connected to the sea which turns it into a fairytale-like swimming pool. The walls of the cave are made of ancient coral reefs giving it even more character. This cave is not well known and is far away. The chance of you being here all alone is high.
    Shete Boka (Not Free)
At this national park, you will find many highlights such as cave systems, natural bridges and extremely rough seas. On sunny days temperatures soar here so bring loads of water and definitely some sunscreen.
    Christoffelberg (Not Free)
This mountain is the highest point in the kingdom of the Netherlands. The hike up is challenging but definitely worth the views. We started our hike 2 hours before sunrise so we would be on the top for our best sunrise ever.
    Willemstad (Free)
This city gets its character from the many colourful buildings and street art all over. It expresses Caribbean vibes all over. There are many highlights in this city to explore so definitely spend at least one day here.
Mambo beach (Free, but you have to pay for a beach chair)
The largest tourist trap of Curaçao is probably Mambo beach. This man-made lagoon looks extremely beautiful and there are many great beach bars and cute stores to explore. Make sure to bring a full wallet because spending money is easy here as prices are quite high.
