Is it just me or is it hilarious that the first baby creature that was shown off to us, Argentavis, still doesn’t have the baby they showed us in advertisement

All they have to do is make the flyer baby set in the nest while a parent stays near the nest... there are mods in ASE that does this -.- it is not rocket sceience.

I don’t, they’re weaker than Giga’s and Carchar’s yet they’re breedable and they’re not as good for soaking as some other creatures like mainly the Gasbags from extinction yet they are breedable and the Reaper from Abberrarion which while not breedable does get the imprint bonus

I went into it thinking "Ah this is something I can knock out in an afternoon, quick one while I think of the next project..." and yea, it's amazing how long it takes to get a shot of the creatures actually TOGETHER... There's a few I gave up on and just left static because it was simply taking so long XD
@@freynlives i know the pain too. I'm myself doing ark channel and I know how much work these video's take. Tho you can clearly see on your channel quality over quantity and that means your doing a great job. I mean just look at these vids :) keep the work up

bigfoots and hyaenas are interesting. they can be a pain to tame depending on where they spawn, just killing and claiming is so much easier.

Still no Argentavis baby in the nest and apart from couple of them its going in the right direction. Apart from PvP nobody wants pego or microraptor xD
I still got 2 babies from the Thylacoleo today in Scorched Earth just earlier today.
I found some months ago a unicorn with two babies, thought it was pretty rare atm but now I can see that its a 2% of a unicorn spawn, I won't have another lucky encounter like that again for sure

Yes, sometimes (alot of times) developers come to an ''understanding'' that removing challenges will make players happier, while it actually kills the fun.
Yea thhats how i feel about the hyaenadon and a few others. Which it was only the knockout tames and the berry feeding passive tames. The more challenging should have been left to be tamed as before. Though the babies are cute on the map

Bruh it's rare as shit it's like finding 2 shiny Pokemons at the same time as you're going for one, it's less likely for there to be 2 then just finding one ie it's harder you have to be out of your mind if that actually bothers you, especially if you play on a server with other people because you could encounter multiple unicorns that way, complaining about the rarity of it or how it's trivialized when it's literally harder to find one with a baby is just utter stupidity.

I was also surprised to many creatures with babies.Less no of creatures in Scorched earth probably made this possible.
But still no Argy babies as they showed in trailer.

I audibly said "Look at the eepy babies" when the Megalosaurus showed up.
Since they regulated any taming lvls to needing the Gigantoraptor, babies are just for immersion sake. Imo
Well that explains why they don't get bonus levels as before the Gigantoraptor, if I saw a high level parent with babies, it use to be a Jackpot for me and now I'm just disappointed.
The theri baby is a massive w for early game gathering
They should add Giga vs Carcha babies.
That would make them too easy to tame, as of now those are still kind of the endgame mounts that you have to earn, by which I mean stockpiling resources for the Giga and the Carcha by a trial of earning its trust.
I still think they should add, they could just increase a lot the rarity to find it but have the chance of find it would be cool

It's crazy how many more creatures have wild babies now, to think ASA launched and almost none of the mammals had them.
Gigas and carchas would be good since it is easier to tame them both than kill them Lol

I think the opposition to adding them is that we'd end up with two for the price of one in that instance. Although who knows, perhaps with Extinction they'll add them

Hey man I was wondering if you would ever do a series for a map or each map on ASA? I would love that and definitely watch every episode, and I feel other people would too
I would certainly like to get back into doing gameplay at some point.
I'm not the best suited to it (or at least, I don't feel I am), because past the initial survival struggles I like my episodes to have a goal, but tend to run out of ideas quite quickly. I also often have a bit of a slow output because I get bogged down in editing trying to get it perfect... my own worst enemy.
Let's just say it's on the to-do list, once I can kick myself into it!
I didn't even know tylas and yutyes even had wild baby's but I'm surprised baby argis weren't in this video cause I thought they were In game because they were in the ASA trailer but at least now I know why I couldn't find any

Well, they added the otter babies and they seem to be working just fine. They don't always stay quite as close to their parents as their counterparts on land, but in the general vicinity nonetheless. They can't be just claimed like the other babies but have to be tamed by feeding them fish corpses just like the adults, though. I think their addition gives hope that maybe they'll add more varied babies in the future.

Most likely they're for the ones on Scorched as they behave differently to their Island counterparts

I was able to tame a male 150 thylo that came with a female 150 baby easy win.
I think they should be stronger with there babes and more aggressive
Has the ASA community figured out what causes some babies to get levels while some don’t when claimed?
So far every theory I've seen has been inconsistent at best, I've been trying to work it out myself but haven't had any bonus levels at all :/
Is there any reason to get babies? Mine never get any taming level even with de rendering, not hurting the babies and trying both fleeing and non fleeing.
I always found it extremely random, the first one I ever tamed had levels even though I killed its parent, but the prevailing theory at the time was kill = no levels, tame = yes.
Might do some testing, could be based on the age perhaps? Or there's suggestion that the Gigantoraptor addition has changed the system.
@@freynlives I did randomly used to get taming levels it felt, but yeah that could make sense that the new bird raptor changed something.

Wait a second, that Kairuku was on the icebergs, does that mean they fixed penguin spawns?
All of these were spawned in by me (still a parent/child pair tho), because waiting for everything to wander into shot together is a pain at the best of times :P
However... yes, they fixed them a while ago, or at least some of them. I've had them appearing on the icebergs for the past few months :)

Didn't realise they'd added more babies until I found a 150 megatherium with a baby, ko'd the adult and fed it the prime meat from it's child
There’s no wild spino babys?
I'm afraid not. The only semi-aquatics that get them are the Dimetrodon, Carbonemys and Kairuku, and none of them tend to spend that much time in the water.
I'd be curious to know why they made these choices, for a while it seemed they wanted to keep a few harder tames... but now we have Theris and Yuty's and such I'm not so sure.
@@freynlivesI believe they are saving most of the aquatics for the Center. I speculated that they just roll out a handful of babies per map to add some newness to the game

Sure they look cute, but claiming babies is only something you'd do in the very early game stage, when the level doesn't really matter.

I dont think babies should have horns or large teeth, Feathers and developed beek. it's kinda silly that baby sabertooths have huge fangs, or baby rhinos have big horn, babytroddons have long feathers, idk.
Also why pt's and fliers don't have babies, they should make nests for those birds.
Troodon is a super good one to have... taming adults is awful.

No megalos are from island aberrant variant from aberration
They exist on the Island as well, but in ASA seem to be the rarest damn thing. I've only ever seen a single one, a lot more common in ASE
Random Ark Idea - Inbreeding:
When breeding the children of two related dinos, there is a chance they will become Inbred.
This changes certain aspects on Dinos, and can permanently change how they play.
Inbreeding will not occur if a Dino gains a mutation.
Here is a series of inbreeding features:
1. The model of the Dino’s legs and/or head are squashed or stretched in any direction by up to 25%.
2. The Dino will become Blind, preventing it from attacking foes on its own, and instead needing a rider.
3. The Dino will gain a learning disability, causing it to lose allocated point gain over time, converting it into unallocated level points.
4. Your Dino gains erratic behavior, prompting them to flee and dismount both their and their target’s rider when they attack, gaining a 25% speed boost during that time. Afterwards, their behavior will return to normal.
5. The Dino matures 50% slower, but can be ridden at 75% more maturity to improve imprint quality.
6. The Dino cannot breed, and lays unfertilized eggs more frequently.
7. If the Dino is a carnivore, it gains a herbivore diet. If the Dino is a herbivore, it gains a carnivore diet, if the Dino is an omnivore, it can now be fed using rocks, and if the Dino eats misc items, it will instead become an omnivore.
8. The Dino has IBS, and poops 5 seconds after eating anything. (This effect can stack while active to effectively do what a Phiomia does.) The Dino will also make fart sounds periodically because it’s funny.
9. The Dino immediately becomes aggressive to any hostile creature or player.
10. A random stat of the Dino is set to its lowest possible wild number, but another random stat is doubled.
