- Africa Expedition in a Stock 4x4. Can it be done? 5/16. Heat.
The episode opens on the morning at Ngonya Falls campsite, where Andrew shows the rudimentary fittings and bathrooms. As the sun rises, the springtime temperatures soar, as the Isuzu heads further west and onto the plains on the approach to Luiwa Plains. The river crossing is delayed by a broken pont, after which dust, roadworks and terrible roads slow progress to a crawl. The second river crossing goes a bit quicker, but not enough to save the day. Andrew and Kate bed down in a dilapidated lodge with serious and comical health and safety issues.

Another great documented adventure!
Always enjoy your adventures. Thanks for sharing. You and Kate have safe travels and keep the videos coming.
I'm wondering why you thought Kate would feel anxious/nervous? I love your videos, please keep them coming. I've watched this Series over and over again for the last three or four years. I'll keep watching until I get to make the trek myself. Love your content sir.
We loved our travels through Zambia, I'd go back there in a heart beat.
Excellent information excellent Vlogs and thanks for sharing your experience
6.30 onwards: the ferry being broken, taking hours to get repaired, on-boarding the ferry, and getting off of it behind the rust-bucket toyota, just about sums up Africa and our water crossings! I have experienced the same several times in my country Uganda, and once you see it once, you have probably seen it all on this continent I call home.
Quite an expedition this has turned out to be...beautiful views.
brilliant very interesting, certainly what adventures are made off
great, brilliant series
Love to see you and your co-pilot!!!!
I'm your subscriber for a while and love your videos. Thanks for sharing and waiting for more Stock 4x4 episodes.
BTW. I do have 2013 Ford Ranger - almost stock - and do the same - travel I mean - but in Europe unfortunately. Keep on broadcasting and traveling...
It's great that you get to spend some quality time with your daughter. She looks just like your wife btw.
awesome work.. iam really inspired to take a long trips with my family 😊
I'm following your series with the same interest as I have for Game of Thrones. Safe travels!
Really high quality production :)
I love it. Very interesting. :)
At the end the lodge you stayed . Is that's the place which a person was paying his bill thro the TV ..
Thanks for sharing. So when are you coming to Patagonia?? Greetings from Puerto Madryn!!
7:03 Mechanical sympathy.
awesome 2 thumbs up.
Andrew. South Africa does not have a good reputation when it comes to safety. I've read that South Africa is a high crime region, and the main N1 highways can be very dangerous if you are stalled or broken down.Women safety is a big concern there. My sincere advise to you: refrain taking kate with you on such trips.
Anyways have a safe journey and Always be Alert.
I don't think Andrew needs to be told this, he lived there for most of his life
+dn bn Well to answer this I only have to add I have never believed much in luck, and my sense of humor has tended to walk on the dark side.
+Siddhartha Mathur I live in South Africa and this is greatly exaggerated. Don't get me wrong, we have absurd crime rates and the government is a piece of shit but as long as you stay aware and don't do anything stupid everything will be ok!
And safe to say Andrew is not the person that needs this warning as he has lived in South Africa for a long time.
+Siddhartha Mathur While South Africa is the most crime ridden country in Africa, I have lived and travelled there for 38 years. We were in no danger. Zambia and Botswana have extremely low crime rates.
At 1:42, is that a light bulb sticking out of the tree?
Hi Andrew, eagerly waiting for 6/16 part. I own a Renault Duster (1.5L no 4X4) in India (nothing much to offroad/overland here). Would like to have your ideas on what stuff to add-on to my car for longer drives (I mostly do about 850KM a day once or twice in a year). Looking forward to hear from you. Off the topic me and one of my colleague are big fan of your channel and video styles.
+Prateek Shrivastava 850km per day? Easy, all you need is good music!
James Rothwell thank you. Music is very much needed. Though what I am looking for is like how Andrew has almost a home in his car (refrigerator, charging points in overhead shelf, car PC and radio etc.) Reason being my car isn't as spacious as land crusier.
how much on average is your fuel allowance?
Kate definitely seems a chip off the old block Andrew, even sounds just like in the sense of syntax :-)
Do you use the AC whilst driving, or leave due to fuel consumption?
+Ben Scibi yes. Often.
where is part 7 till 16
They are released once a week, on Sunday.
Are the Chinese building roads and bridges because they are after mineral resources?
+bert26a They build them in exchange for allowing their workers to stay. Zambia has no oil. Its the way the Chinese are colonizing Africa and South America, by helping poorer countries.

How do the locals like having the Chinese moving in on their land?
