AoZ could've been more with minimal amount of added effort.
Stage based. Every 5 maps an uber boss (level 150+) with potential uber loot. You die, you lose most loot in the run. You can decide to end the run after each boss stage and keep all loot or keep going for even better loot, but with an opportunity cost. The further you go, the higher glyph exp after each stage and the greater the quantity and quality of the loot.
Keep the timer, so people can't just run selig builds. You are not allowed to switch gear, skills, paragon or vampiric powers after starting the event. Character becomes locked.
Tier 25 Uber Lilith (non skippable phases with invincibility windows every quarter of her HP bar) at the end with a guaranteed uber unique drop on kill. You get to keep all loot even if you die to her specifically, but you only have one attempt.
All loot is dropped after each boss kill and you can temporarily store it in a special AoZ box that either can be accessed after ending manually or defeating uber Lilith.
You also get a special skin and titles for completing AoZ.
AoZ is just a sad excuse for content. The most barebones system, but to be expected from the uninspired people who designed nightmare dungeons. I could come up with a system better than what they did and I make games in RPG Maker as a hobby.
.02% damage per glyph level for the end of the season feels bad
I was pretty close to wrapping up this season, but man. I can’t even explain it, the aoz caused me to just straight up quit for the rest of the season. Between the XP req of the glyph and that there’s literally no point, I lost all desire to play. Even the midwinter thing, cosmetics don’t do it for me, so I think I’m just done.
Big miss. I don't mind the challange at all, but getting 1 shot on tier 2 with 19k armor is kinda ridiculous.
This event would be great if it carried over into the Eternal realm where you can keep the unique glyph, but to relentlessly grind this glyph just for bragging rights is not fun for me. I’m only doing it to test changes to my build and level up my other glyphs since it’s faster than NMD

How to fix D4: add uniques that make a specific core or mastery skill just as busted as BL and HOTA. Make one of these uniques for every skill. Now you can hope to get a unique that makes it fun to play with a new build. The end.
An endgame that only helps do the endgame.
u get 4 items directly in ur inventory at the end and it can be uniques too.
I completely understand the sentiment of not wanting to play this event. I myself was really looking forward to it, but once it came out and I experienced the difficulty and loot drop, it totally killed my drive to even play the game, not just the event. Don't get me wrong, i will still play season 3 and beyond, but for the remaining of this season, I think i'll just chill and play some other games until the new season comes out - been grinding for uber uniques also, so I guess i just burned myself out 🤷
yes! I am in same boat. was excited for the event. completed tier 1 to get glyph and just stopped playing altogether. s2 was still much better and I enjoyed it, can't wait what s3 will have.
Hey, come on man, come play winter event, I promise it is also boring as f, you will run around looking for some very specific shit in the world map to get access to very few and low effort transmogs
There's literally no point. The season resets in like 2 months so you're doing all that work for literally nothing. They could at least give us a cool Cosmetic Skin to carry over to the next season not going to lie Path of Exile is looking more promising and I can't wait for Path of Exile two
yes, end of the video xD, just joking but well it could not be more useless, "it gives a glyph that make you way more powerfull" oh well I was already one shoting lilith, duriel and nmd 100 boss and all, so.... meaningless

short answer YES. dont even play it, it will feel good, but after that the game wont feel the same. unless bliz makes every season double power creep, and everyone is critting for trillions. which is stupid.
Christmas event has more loot.
your build seems a bit messed up. you should really be dropping some of that armour and get some more damage, by armour is 7.5k with out disobedience and 14k with disobedience active.
But I digress...
Keep in mind that its multiplicative damage. It is also 0.02% per 5 core stats with in the range of the glyph. there is about 22 paragon nodes in that range that give +5 core stats, 2 that give 15 each, and 4 that give 7. my glyph is at level 6 and gives 2.1%x.
time for some tool tip math so not the real numbers with out the glyph the tooltip on ball lightning shows 40,189-49,120. With the glyph 77,827 - 95,122. that is a differences of 37,638 - 46,002
i think you missed the whole point, it isnt about just the dmg. a lot of people are hoping for cool interactions and stuff and adding base dmg is good but its also an easy way out to get stronger. also what is the point of increasing dmg when most ppl are still trying to farm uber uniques. the fact that the only payout is glyph upgrading makes it really lame.
