Siti not just won for best performance, she almost won every category that's she's in. At one point she decided not to compete in the AJL. She is very consistent in this event.

If you notice, Siti Nurhaliza is THE ONLY SINGER to win Best Performance in 3 different genres on the list which is Jerat Percintaan,Aku Cinta Padamu for Ballad Song, Ya Maulai,Nirmala for Ethnic Creative/Traditional Malay Song and Ku Milikmu for Pop/Rock.
FYI, Siti Nurhaliza announced that she don't want to be nominated for any awards anymore.. She wants to give other singers chance to win.. It was noble of her.. That's why she stop winning after 2005.. Thank you for reacting to this video Nephi 😊

Omg I literally squealed watching all our legends-late Alleycats, late Sudirman, Fauziah Latif, Shima, Aisyah, Ramlah Ram, M Nasir. I daresay even Ziana Zain and Siti Nurhaliza grew up looking up to these people. Bless them and may the souls of those passed away may rest in peace... Thank you for coloring and shaping the Malaysia music industry to what it is now... Also, you always make me feel like I’m watching the vid with you, so entertaining!

Sugu tinggi is one of the part where and iban kumang wear. It was such a disappointment when she told that it is chandelier. Ramlah ram is one of the many best female with high note. People always compare her with ziana zain.
Aishah is our legend female singer too. Splendid. Crystal Clear tone and her emotion 👍🏽.

Noraniza idris is our traditional song queen. Her voice is one of a kind. Never failed to amaze to her with singing and dancing abilities. Always bring the best performance.

I don't know if you noticed, or if anyone has mentioned it (not that it's really important or anything...just a fun fact) but if you look closely in Siti's performance Jerat Percintaan (1996), you can see that Anuar Zain was one of the dancers there (err, they're not really dancing though, so he's one of the 'standers' there XD) Just sharing :)

AJL is the biggers and grand compittetion for the best songs in Malaysia every year. 1996 is the 1st for Siti Nurhaliza to join AJL and her song won 3 award include the grand price. Afterthat every year she made to final and get some award without miss it. Until she decide to retired form AJL to giva a chance to other singer expecially new comer to join this AJL. The last award best performance for her is the last year she joined AJL. She also won the most award in AJL so far

Just a lil funfact about malaysian singers, the names that keep coming up as the "legends" and remain evergreen are Sudirman, M Nasir and of course Siti. Siti has remained sooo consistent and kept getting stronger and stronger. Her first appearance in AJL was in 1996 , and she was a schoolgirl back then. AJL 1996 was her stepping stone of becoming arguably the best singer/performer ever in Malaysia history. And oh yeah Fauziah Latiff is my fav too before Siti came about. Can you react to one of Fauziah Latiff old performance as well (prior to 1996/1997)? She had such a beautiful voice! Oh how did i go from sudirman to fauziah latiff ???lol

AJL is not the grammys of Malaysia. It's actually a songwriting competition. It's not so much about the singer. That's why they introduced this category for best performance and later on (from 2002 onwards), the best vocal category to acknowledge the singer of the song as well. The Anugerah Industri Muzik (AIM) is the Malaysian equivalent of the Grammy awards. And that is where Siti Nurhaliza holds the record for winning the Best female vocal performance in an album category for 7 consecutive years (1999 - 2005). She won a couple more in the subsequent years. She holds the record for being the artist with the most number of awards both in Malaysia and in South East Asia, just not consecutively.
