Filipino Reactor. Keeping it real and natural.
I am Nephi Acaling. I am native to Bacolod City but currently living in Cebu City, Philippines. I’ve lived in different countries like Singapore, Japan and United States due to job assignments. In fact I was in the US when I started this channel thus the confusion sometimes where I am truly based.
I have completed my Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering degree and I am currently working as a Project Control Engineer.
At a time, I was a band vocalist performing every Friday and Saturday night at a local bar chain but recently decided to quit from my band to focus on my CZcams Channel and my full-time job as an engineer. I was also a member of the Filipino Voice Symphony where I was taught by professional chorale singers and we actually bagged the Gold Medal in the International A cappella Championships held in Singapore in 2011. I was also the Glee Club President and the singing trainer for various competitions when I was in the university which was a humbling experience for me.
Ever since, I started watching television as a kid, I realized that I enjoy analyzing and commenting on things related to singing performances. I believe this was the foundation of my interest towards making a reaction channel.
I am a self-motivated, and a disciplined soul. I am always keen to up-skill myself by learning new things whenever I get a chance.
My real strength is my attention to detail. I pride myself on being sensitive to the beauty of vocal embellishments, be it major or very subtle.
Most importantly, I keep my reactions real and natural.

You can see the music transitions by the era, ballads to rock kapak to traditional to pops to indie's types to futuristic..the colorfull of malaysian musics..
2002 WINNER IS MOST CONTROVERSIAL ONE.....because that song was never seen as a front runner to win the competition but eventually win it at the end......i was rooting either "nirmala" from dato siti , "gelisah mimpi" from liza hanim and also "menadah gerimis" from anuar zain sister, ziana to win that grand prize.....so when ajai & nurul "keliru"(literally means confused ) was announced to be the winner .....it confused me even more....

When the song is released, i love it. Heard it everyday. When it enter AJL, I even predict the song to win. I don't know why.. Maybe the song is kinda different in genre and theme in the eyes of the juries compared to other malay songs at that time. And I love the song until now. Haha..
keliru was a very popular song among youth in 2002. it's not controversial at all. only old people argue with it but the young ones doesn't say anything. i was happy when the song won because it broke the stereotypes only power vocals or traditional pop songs would win. it gets bored. people wants variety especially the youth.
@@Charmed3 yup keliru was very popular song back then....but still we here talked about a "BEST SONG"....not a popular one...so for me there another song which i felt deserved more than keliru....in fact there a some of the jury who judged the competition who also shocked when they heard keliru win the competition...to be honest i love that song....for "juara lagu"...i juz said "meh!"
@@Charmed3 sorry. It is very controversial. Even though I just 7 years old at that time, I still remember on the front page of Utusan stated that the judges surprised the winner of AJL at that time. I will never forget that how Nirmala was robbed.

Hi, just to clarify that Anugerah Juara Lagu is award for composers and song makers. That's why in 2012, Aizat was chosen to sing the song that was originally Yuna's. It does not matter who sing the song, the award still goes to Yuna who happen to be the composer and lyrics writer of Terukir Di Bintang.
AJL is a competition for song writers. Siti Nurhaliza has worked with a lot of composers, so she appears on AJL for a good number of years.

Actually on 2002 Keliru - Ajai and Nurul shouldn't won the AJL. Dato' Sri Siti Nurhaliza should have won it with her song Nirmala. That year was a very controversial year for AJL.

2008 winner is Meet Uncle Hussein...that was Azlan Typewriter the vokalist. Now he disband the meet uncle hussein and form a new band called Typewriter. yeah...Azlan that Duo with Ziana Zain at your previous reaction video.
2002 winner is still remain "unknown" .. rumors has it one of the AJL judge sabotage the result (siti nemesis at that time) . Nirmala was supposed to be the winner of AJL 2002.
