Thanks. I looked up as many diagrams as i could. I thought that was the traditional spot. Got me wondering about the tank or lack thereof on the WM rs3
There's no route for New Haven unless you count the Harlem Line and New Haven trains would only pass by as they don't stop at any stations along the line.
Ahh, but remember that the PRR side of the corridor ended in NJ for many years before the Hudson tunnels were built. During that time, The NYNH&HRR was connecting NY with Boston and running catenary even before the PRR put theirs up. Also, the NYNH&HRR loaned the PRR an EP3 (along with a similar unit from the NYC) and that is how the GG1 was born. Just a bit of history.
Excellent replica of the New Haven RS3. Be aware if running via keyboard that the dynamic brake controls are reversed. Normally the period increases the dynamic and the comma decreases it. On this model, the comma increases the dynamic and the period decreases it. Also, the dynamic brake is not the greatest but that is prototypical as this was well into the infancy of dynamics.
Horrible graphics, wrong bell tone horn needs to be louder. Glad they make the pack those these are my favorite engines of all time. They should base the sounds around the Naugatuck RailRoads 529. Could be better as far as graphics
You have a great speaking voice.... great video. What makes it great is that you put your heart into it. It shows.
Thanks, i appreciate that.
When I saw this pack I got it's asap. I was using britkits RS3 for years and this is a massive step up
The box you talked about a lot is an additional fuel tank. Batteries were in the boxes at the rear of the cab.
Ok thx, had me wondering what the diff between the WM alco and the NH one. I tried to find a diagram or exploded image of a NH specific but no dice
On the New Haven RS3, the battery box is behind the engineer on the short hood walkway. The tank below was fuel and water for the steam boiler.

The one thing I cannot understand is why there are zero ALCO Centuries in the train sim line up. They are very popular locos amongst rail fans.

Way to clean for a new haven engine haha
Not to argue but the PRR built the Northeast Corridor, the NH was an add-on DLC if you will haha

Are you going to review the Porter as well?

I've been waiting for this, I knew it was coming. I just bought it, so I'll have to wait a bit to get it (Paypal delay).
