I came across your video and immediately thought these were cell phones running a multimeter app. I wondered how you plugged your test leads into the phone. Now I see that it is a multimeter shaped like a cell phone. Now I’m also wondering when somebody is going to design a cell phone/ multimeter interface.
Ha, I too thought that perhaps they'll have a multimeter app one day too.
They already have multimeter apps. Works off bluetooth. Just wireless bluetooth connection leads.
I been using mine almost a year now and I love it!
The KM601 also has the REL feature for zeroing out lead and other stray resistance when measuring very low like mV and uV etc

Got my KM601 a couple of weeks ago. Has some drawbacks but for about 30 bucks it is well worth the money.
How fast does it chew through the batteries? Probably about 10 times faster than a classic LCD screen DMM?

i got one but it's horrible measuring microamps, anything below 9ua will show 0, but when you exchange the two leads it gives you -20ua for an actual 6ua

Just hold the auto/function button and the meter will go back to auto function. You don't have to go all the way around the meter.

I have the ST600X and my tests revealed that it is less accurate than HT112B that I have for some time. The difference is around 22mV.
HT112B values come much closer to my Fluke 117 by 1-2mV, which is a reference meter I think.

Not sure in those specs, but I’ve taken to their compact stick meter. Really convenient, I carry it now all the time.

Yes, that's right. F on top and C on bottom.
@@projectpinehills thanks. I realize that my question was not clear. I was wondering if both MODELS have that same quirky F/C temp display, with no way to switch it in the settings. Also, how do you sense the temp? Same leads, or a separate probe?
That is correct. Both meters handle temperature on the display the same way. Both meters come with probes for the temperature (and a case) but the meter shows the temperature on the display when using other functions on the meter like when testing DC voltage.
My only and biggest gripe about the 601 is those damn leads coming out the bottom, I hate this on any meter and I have some very good meters that really suck because of this layout. I would buy the 601 if not for that, and the other one is just plain lacking in speed and no REL feature

So you are selling them. Just state that o.k. No need for the click bait on "the best" ... plenty of other meters out there.
No, I like the meters and they are different from any other meter out there. I don't recommend tools that I don't like. They are better than any other meter in their price range.
I have a BS EE and would not buy these.
Not seeing the correlation. These meters have been bench tested multiple times by multiple people. If you want to buy a more expensive meter, then you have that option but it's nice to have more than one meter.
These meters are junk.
That's not the case, they have been submitted for bench testing multiple times. No shortage of YT videos showing those bench tests. Convenience being a chief reason.
