Lance Charen retained White Collar Advice roughly five weeks before he surrendered to Cumberland Federal Prison Camp. To his credit, Lance showed up ready to work each and every day.
He succeeded in federal prison, in part, because he clearly identified his goals. Rather than talk about reading or exercising or writing, he did it.
As I have said myriad times, no one wants to be in federal prison. But if you have to go, let's make the time as productive as possible.
You should not retain a federal prison consultant for basic things anyone can learn in prison. If you are scared about surviving federal prison, you also DO NOT NEED a federal prison consultant. Our country releases hundreds of thousands of prisoners a year: they all survived.
If you have interest in ensuring each day in federal prison is productive and if you want to emerge with opportunities (as I, Shon Hopwood, Michael Santos and now Lance Charen have) we can help you.
To close, our guidance only works with daily implementation. If there were an easy button to push I assure you I would have it.
Lance and I hope you find value in our video, "Life at Cumberland Federal Prison Camp."
    Best,
    Justin Paperny

This is another excellent success story and video Justin! I have a few takeaways after listening to this interview. 1st of all Lance was very fortunate to run into his old neighbor once he was introduced into the prison system which is definitely not something that everybody is going to experience that definitely made his 1st day and 1st weeks much more comfortable. I also think that he was very smart to contact you in the 1st place Justin and thanks to your guidance he was able to pull through this with his goals met. However one thing I found fault with him was that he said the federal government dealt him that sentence or however he put it it wasn't the feds they did this it was him so perhaps he needed to reword that but otherwise this is another success story that has come out of your camp of expertise, and I wish you nothing but success in all the future clients that come to you, and I hope the day have a much easier experience thanks to the advice that you and your associates give to them.

This interview with Lance was great. His attitude is amazing and commendable. The only thing I would suggest is that there was time spent relative to his crime (i.e., actions, industry, charges etc.). The descriptions and details are pertinent especially when it comes to white collar crime. Because oftentimes people are shocked that they even did anything wrong and/or perhaps they knew that they were engaging in wrongdoing or skirting legalities but because of their success they may think they will never get caught or lastly have the mindset that 'everyone else is doing it-so it must be ok'. Also it's important to share this information because loved ones can also be held accountable and imprisoned. My loved one just went in for white collar activity August 31st, upper level business management career his whole life, respected member of his community etc.
Lastly I like what Lance had to say about viewing his prison experience as an opportunity to hit the reset button. However, I do disagree with his notion about not having to pay bills and his only responsibility being to focus on himself. I don't know his personal circumstances but there are many many families that have to pick up the slack while our loved ones are away.

Eyre Rising I appreciate your insights, and I hope your loved one is doing well in prison. To Lance, I agree we could have spent more time on the details that led him to prison. In future videos we may do that. The goal here was to offer a summary of his prison experience at Cumberland Prison Camp and share how he met and exceeded his clearly defined goals. We spoke at length about his goals before his surrender. It was important we shared how and why he hit them. Again thanks for watching. I send my best to your family.

Eyre Rising, fortunately as a divorced Dad with drown kids, I was able to put my life "on hold" for my time away. I recognize that not everyone has that luxury. This was more about taking the time to figure out who you are, what you can fix in your life and to plan for a more positive future. With the ability now to look back on this video almost a year later, I clearly did not plan enough. The stigma of my felony is far more significant than I expected. Friends and connections have disassociated, many more business opportunities are off limits than I expected and even simple things like life insurance, TSA PreCheck and permits are now unavailable. The year has been much more difficult than I expected and prepared for. I hope that your loved one is doing well at his camp and is preparing to be released when the time comes. Support him and help him remain strong, he needs it now but will need ot even more when he is released.

I'm wondering if Lance ever knew another inmate there.....Dr Jeffrey MacDonald, who is the former Army doctor who slew his entire young family at Ft Bragg in 1970, and as of this date is still at Cumberland.

Fellow viewers: You might feel differently about Lance if you live in Wilmington, DE and have to drink the water. I really hope he's not planning on working in the haz mat disposal business again.

Has he not been punished enough? Should viewers continue to judge him for bad decisions he made, and owns, from his past? My work is about helping people become better than the bad decisions they made in the past. I would be more inclined to judge Lance differently if he did not accept responsibility and if he did not work daily to make amends. But he did and I admire him for that. At some point, we must start seeing people for what they can become instead of just judging them for bad choices they made. For that reason alone I hope my viewers do not see him as you do, but rather for the person, he is striving to become.

To all I have listen to the full video and I have also retained Justin to do some work for me he has been amazing and brought me thru my lowest low I was lost in the whole detail of this journey , I am still awaiting my sentencing it has been changed 3 times now it is now going to be after a trial I will testifying on the governments behalf so this journey has been almost 3 years and what I have already done is this: I work out everyday have lost 55 pounds, I have read more books to date than every in my life, I have changed from a depressed , scared person to excepting my role in what happened , my family and tribe have embraced me and lifted me I sometimes wonder about people who do not have such a support system around them , at 62 I now live with my mother who is 94 and I am her care giver and that has been a blessing in so many ways. So I look to a new life someday the women that I was with for 22 years left me that hurt the most but we have also finally found peace and I only hope we can find a new life but I also except as a failed relationship and except my role in that , So I look to a new life someday finding happiness once again and am starting to love myself once again in a new way ! What I can say from the start don't let the moment define you accept where you are at don't hurt others around and don't hurt yourself it is all you have you just do the best you can love all and you will be loved. DO the right next thing at the next moment and you will be blessed as I am. Nobody said life was fair or easy !

kodos _ I’m not saying he is a Angel he’s not. But he’s no Charles Manson or Joe Biden either. The man did wrong, did his time and he has to live with the fact he is a convicted felon. People deserve second chances sometimes
