@Yajhin035 kubo probably planned Nelliel to be Masaki and Nnoitra to be Old Man Zangetsu , or Yhwach and Yhwach being Ichigos real father that ran away
Ofc the plot would have been complicated , such as quincies cannot hollowfy so he decided to make Nel and Nnoitra their own stand alone characters .
Nnoitra is long and thin like Old Man Zangetsu and his character design has Moon Symbolism and he carries Moon cutters... so he is Zangetsu
