Those guardrails are stronger than most relationships.
Someone give this man an award!
😂
Of course, its built on trust.
I don't have one :-(
Although at 3:30 was the first time I have seen a guardrail actually deformed. Most seem to be like springs and deflect. But he did hit it a 45 degree angle so it was a bit more direct. After a weekend in Detroit you can see many compressed or missing guard rails in sharp turns where the driver reacted too late at a high rate of speed. Some areas usually have 4 or 5 lights down (especially near round-abouts) as they seem to be a bit too close to the road and get taken out as well.
Imagine pinning it down a long straight on the nurburgring and some dude on an adventure bike does a U-turn in front of you
My guy said adventure bike 🤣🤣
Yea and you crash with your New BMW because his fucking around next around the corner and u cannot go away
@@KipacWF ...it is an adventure bike?
Slam the brakes, get out and deck him.
I’m getting out of the car and taking the cost of my car out on you and your bike with the large bat I’m carrying 😂
The way these cars get tossed around like hot wheels toys is terrifying and really makes you appreciate how much crash safety has improved over the years.
A couple decades ago, most of these crashes would’ve been fatal
@@mats7492 it also really helps that the ring has the safer barriers instead of just going into a concrete wall or a tree. but ur right
From watching these videos I've learned something very important. Never, ever to get into a car that has blurred-out or blacked-out number plates!
Bwahahaha!!!!
Very wise
I amazed they want to risk themselves and damage their car
Right, and never get into a car that has these white pillows between the driver's head and the windows, blocking the view of where you are going after a crash.
😂😂😂
that guard rail has saved so many people from hitting trees and dying :o
yeah, that's the point lol
if those guard rails weren't that I can't imagine how many people would've died
+dennis trident william if there was run off then rails cool chop the trees down make it safer rails kill this place is a fucking joke all they want is to stay open and get paid cars and bikes on a track TOOLS including the track users
+Immy Tweed It does look like a shit hole traction wise. Like the Exon Valdez did a couple of laps.
+stanthology it's a death trap some kids near me went to Germany in a clio and stopped off hear and died
It looks bad.. I'll have to encourage the old battle axe to go there for a spin.
All of these people would be dead if it was 1970.
bradkrit Or they had old cars...

100% Completely agree
Not #9 though

Mini Cooper: "I want to be a helicopter!"
Nürburgring: "Say no more!"
those guardrails look basic but there was probably a lot of engineering involved because of how well it absorbs impact and minimises damage to the car
Expensive as hell too. I forget the numbers but they bill you for damage and the figures were eyewatering.
Base fee for attendance of armco truck: €150
Removing damaged armco: €10/metre (x2 or x3 or x4 for multiple-height sections)
Replacement armco: €31/metre (x2 or x3 for double/triple height)
Removing damaged armco posts: €5.10 each
Replacing armco post: €39 each
Safety car attendance: €82 per 30 mins (car + 2 people)
Circuit closure: €1,350 per hour
Recovery truck: €500 (inc VAT)

A place where a bunch of amateurs realise Grand Turismo 6 isn't real driving.
""""The Real Driving Simulator""""
Hm I praticed more than 1000 laps on GT6 for the real deal and didn't crash, what were you saying again?
@Nathaniel McGuire no
Nathaniel McGuire
LOL!!!!!! It’s not 1/4 as realistic. Gran Turismo has made 100’s of people into sponsored actual real life race car drivers. Forza has taught kids you can grow up to crash your car trying to show off leaving a car meet. A lot of race car drivers admitted to using GT to re familiarize themselves with a course that they have an upcoming race at. You’re either a really shitty driver in real life or you don’t even have a drivers license to say something so absurd as that.
@Nathaniel McGuire WHAT
Last one was hard, dude's lucky he wasnt seriously injured or dead
+Shogun Rua That's so true. The 'Ring is still claiming lives. Remember Toyota's top test driver got killed here? I'd love to drive there but I'm not going to push my car as hard as I can. It was a little sad seeing so many GTIs being smashed up (I drive one).
+largol33t1 Nope, he was on the road, not the 'Ring.
Because he had "the power of dreams"
mit dem auto und der Sicherheitsausstattung in der Tat äußerst heftig

3:08 Damn, without those super energy-absorbant guardrails, that's basal skull fracture territory
3:18 whoa!
3:49 Perfect storm crash - 3 front end collisions in a row. That takes some talent.. If you mentally delete the tire squeal it sounds like a damn airstrike, too.
Reading some of the comments. Not sure how anyone can blame the s2k for going too slow. He's staying on the right and letting people pass like he's suppose too. He's probably going at a speed that he can handle, especially with a corner approaching. The VW driver should have done the same, clearly. He lost his shit way before reaching the s2k. Should have just ran himself into the wall to do everyone else a favor.
if you cant handle the speed, you shouldnt go to nürburgring, its a race track and not the german autobahn where you can crouch on the right lane with the vw polo behind the trucks...
by the looks of it, the r32 driver would have crashed in the upcoming turn anyways
The r32 would have crashed in the upcoming turn. The s2k drove cautiously, and was abiding the rules of driving on the right side probably because his car isn't tuned for the track (yet). Something that was supposed to go safely turned into an accident because of the reckless driving done by the VW driver. Ughh...
If you are on a race track and you go slow you are asking for trouble thats why its illegal to drive below a certain speed on a highway - its fucking dangerous and a road hazard to other road users,
It's still a fucking street for those cars. Doesn't matter if it's a “race track.” AFAIK there aren't any min speeds like on Autobahn.
Those illusive black rectangles, always causing accidents.
@Jean-Frédéric Baillargé probably to censor something
Every Physics teacher should take his students here to demonstrate momentum.
It has to do with weather, tires, balance and brake.
Cool story bro.
3:17 sounds like a crash from an early James Bond movie lol
😂😂😂
I have this track memorized by heart from playing Forza. Somehow, I doubt my memory could judge true distances once rubber meets the road.
Jake Stockton i took my altea fr to the Nürburgring last year. Fucking hell, i know every inch of this track... well virtually. Once ive driven it i had a total blackout and didnt know nothing. Well, my car survived it bit i had a near Heartattack. Seriously. Its scary to take on this course with all of its Bumps, narrow passages and high speed segments...
McLarenHonda wise words \( ̄< ̄)>
Same i play forza horizon 4
Same scenario with me playing Real Racing 3
The problem with sims are the track scale. This track is smaller in Gran Turismo than in Forza, for example, and even smaller in more casual racing games. Real life for sure is something completly different.
Don't bother to read the comments.... As usual... EVERYBODY is either Perfect, never makes mistakes, or is Juan Manuel Fangio, or (concerning filming) is Stanley Kubrik.
Does that make you mom?

No dude if you are stupid you don t go to Nurburgring that s it
No kidding. Crashing is part of the sport. The greatest drivers in the world didn't just jump in a race
Car and have all the knowledge, experience to drive at expert levels. And even the best still crash. I love all types of racing but seeing the crashes and reading that asinine comment reminded me that anybody can crash including greats. I'm from Alabama where NASCAR is king but not much of a fan but had see at least one race. I was in the infield in turn 4 when Dale Earnhardt lost his life in a crash who had been racing cars barely old enough to drive, had that gift of being a natural driver, dominated the sport for years and the greatest talent NASCAR has ever seen.
Shut up
0:28 Me trying to complete a lap in Nürburgring
explain what happened at 1:51..the Honda driver? like can't get things together...why stoppin on such speeding tracks? is like, ooh wait i'm gonna turn back and start over again, nobody's with me anyway!
My thoughts exactly. The guy in the VW had to slam on the breaks hard and still ended up hitting the s2000 seconds later. Wtf was the Volkswagen driver thinking?
An enormous amount of energy in the last two crashes, crazy.
That mini one always brings out the oh damn. Double tap in the air.
2:37 more stuff came off that car than was on it before it crashed!
Those crash barriers do a great job! Like amazing, how they just deflect and pass the problem on, with minimal damage 👍🏴
Overloads stil as same
1:59 hit an S2000... off with his head
to be fair ... what was that S2000 doing?! He was extremely slow there
He was on the right hand side of the track, which AFAIK is where you go if you're going slow. He was doing completely the right thing and then the R32 driver cocked it up and hit him.
Marcus Antonius right?! God I'd kill someone for doing that to my ap1
There was a warning signal at the turn so he slowed down, the Golf driver should have done it as well
Should be lucky he hit the s2000 instead of the BMW e30 m3, would have been much more expensive to him.
The flying GTI is my favorite one, I like the sound effects and the way he switched the guard rails
What a thrill..expensive cars gone in a few seconds...😬 and a wonder that most of the drivers survive such enormous crashes...

With every crash I think like:
The rail! THE RAIL!
The bill after a crash is quite big to fix the barrier
I would never take my car to the track. Get an old Corsa, Polo or Golf and you don't have to worry to crash them. Even if you are driving very cautious someone still can rear-end you just like with the S2000 and the Golf.
And dont forget to pay 20k for crash 🤣🤣🤣
I'd pay admission to watch that all day, far more exciting than watching professional racing...😃

This is a late comment, but it's clearly people who are driving standard deviations to fast compared to their abilities.
If I had a big bank Account I would be every month in the Interlagos track day with a track ready. Not so dangerous as the Nordschleife but still a hard track. And if someday I go to germany I will rent one of those race cars you can rent to go there.

This is why don't fuck with the nurburgring.
How does liability work on this track? I understand people pay to drive their cars like madmen, so I'm sure there are disclaimers when you sign up. But, you couldn't make the drivers waive all rights to recover damages if someone else hits them, because then anyone could go on there and just ram people on purpose for fun.
+beakt Someone answer this question please!
+beakt Insurance does pay most of the time if you have the right one. People
racing there go for premium insurances. This road is under German road
law, not to be confused with a racetrack. So any liability would be handled like a normal road crash.
+zawzero a lot of uk insurers name the ring on the policy as not covered by it.
+zawzero For example, on tourist days you are not allowed to overtake on the right side...
Sounds ridiculous.
Excellent work here by Smashcam, must buy one of these for xmas lol
The Barriers repair contractor must be rolling in it? 🤣🤣🤣

The airbag of the gti opens when he has already come to a stop. Nice 👍🏼🙂

2:05 What is that black shape running faster than sound? Did someone notice that? 😐😳
1:59 i always wondered what happenes in this scenario being these are insured road cars? i take it as being on a race track means insurance claims are null and void no? shame because the s2000 could do nothing but take a surprise hit
Looked more like a "Oh shoot, I'm on a racetrack!" just set in and pressed the wrong pedal.
3:51 the Honda Hood mod 😂
The strength of them BMW minis never fail to surprise me, they always hit hard yet there is almost never intrusion into the cabin
That last one was so hard, the pixellation came off the car as well.
Fun fact: When you go on the Nordschelife if you crash you have to pay for the damage. So all these crashes in this video the drivers probably had to pay more money to repair the car than what the car was actually worth 😂
Not only the car. They have to pay for repairing the track too. Not to mention, that closing the track for 1 hour after an accident also costs a lot of money.
That's so far from being the top 10, nonetheless still a good compilation.
Finally, someone this also...
I love how random people bring their (mostly) rare unique cars to nürnbugring destroying them by thinking they’re some racer dudes.
And the most Car Insurance don’t pay for amateur racing damages 😂
So you have to pay the clean up on Nürburgring, the safety car and you lost your own car without financial replacement
Is this GT8 with the realistic crash/damage effects?
I miss the white Mégane RS rollover from last week :3

The prob is most of these cars have no business being on a track that’s this fast.
If I had to pick the single craziest and most dangerous corner at the Nordschleife of the MANY crazy corners there, it would be that left-hand kink at the end of the Foxhole that goes into Adenauer Forst. The road drops away there as it turns left, it's very fast and there's no run off- just Armco and a wall of trees. If something goes wrong, it's effectively a launch pad into those trees.
Those barriers are tough Jesus
Feel bad for the S2k driver, it wasn't even his fault.
Of course is not....hi is traveling and watching nature...stupid driver....this is race truck...not travel track...if you don't want race than go on street and drive 40km\h
@@gojanimartin no, you can drive as slow as you want during touristenfahrten. you can even drive with an actual bus if you want, so your opinion is invalid.
@@paup You can drive whatever you want.... But keep your eyes open.... This is not traveling.... Maybe for you it is....
You are that kind of driver who drive bad and hope that someone hit you and pay you for damage.... Poor invalid
@@gojanimartin ? it literally is though? and that s2k didn't drive that slow, there are many e.g. toyota yaris on Nordschleife that drive slow or buses or things like that. during Touristenfahrten you don't have to drive fast. you can enjoy the scenery too. this guy was doing everything right, he drive on the right side, but the R32 Golf was way too fast and lost control
I'm sure the title said HARDEST 🤔
Why blur out the license plates on the cars that wreck and not the others ?????????????
Would be nice if you could make 2 or 3 more replays of each crashes. CZcams does not permit replays... It would also make the video longer to watch!
#1 is very disturbing...
Cause of accident in all cases: considerable overestimation of the driver's capabilities.
I always wondered if there is some sort of insurance you can get which will cover at least the damages you've done to track in case of your luck running out. Cause with one combo-hit crash like some of these, the price of the track repair can easily surpass the damage to the car or even the car itself in the case of that last Civic.
1 lap could be a lifetime of soup and a tent on a roundabout! I will not be taking my pride and joy there...nope !
Number 5 demonstrating that driving too slowly can be as dangerous as driving too fast.
