Just asking but I was told to never use Teflon tape on the last 2 threads. They say it could come off inside and mess up your tools.

What is the propose for the second gauge? And how to set it up?

The first (left) gauge, is to tell you how much pressure is in the tank. The second gauge is to tell you how much pressure is going to be released to the hose. Say you want to pump up a tire to 30 Psi, you turn the big red dial on top so that the pressure in the second gauge reads 30 Psi, then when you pump up your tire, it will stop at 30 psi.
