I think the biggest reason house likes Wilson is because while he constantly says he's surrounded by idiots he really respects Wilson's skill. And he also wonders how Wilson manages to stay so positive and nice despite all the horrible things will soon cease of people going through cancer
That’s the fascinating thing about their friendship. Not everyone is a depressed misanthropist, which is an insane concept for some.
House respects the intelligence of everyone on his team lol, he's not surrounded by idiots.
He respects Wilson and admires his ability to stay positive despite having to give almost all of his patients life changing news. He knows he can't be like that and, in his own way, lives vicariously through Wilson at times.

As a veteran, the best diagnostic tool the team should've used is ignoring everything the VA says.
Cuddy must not have much experience with the VA, evident by "the VA didn't screw up."
My money's on yes, yes they did.
In the episode it's explained that they know the VA didn't screw up because of the metal plate in his x-rays.

Not true at all. I'm a Veteran as well and the VA has improved a TON in the past 10 years. I have had tons of treatment with multiple disciplines at the VA and have had excellent care by excellent physicians. I also worked for the VA when I separated from the military for 2 years. The stereotype that "the VA has horrible medical care are they are out to get me" is outdated and undoubtably false. The VA is not nearly as bad as the vocal minority makes it out to be. And I've seen regular teaching hospitals in far, far worse condition than the VA.

@jakeb934 Regardless, both them and the teaching hospital missed the significance of the grandfather's nosebleeds...and somehow had no records of the patient's own nasal cauterization procedure.
I'm sure many have said it but I still can never get over that House is the same man I grew up knowing as Stephen Fry's comedy partner who has a very sophisticated accent.

The answer was "no". House had a memory of seeing the marine kiss someone. Turns out the marine was dating House's female boss and House had seem them kiss.
I literally almost died at that bit. Twice. Both times (few months apart) I was halfway through a gulp of water and he said that unexpectedly.
I love the moments where Wilson stands up to House.
I think my favorite House/Wilson moment is when Wilson proposed to House. That was hilarious!

the writing although a lot of the medical terminology was wrong but besides that it was actually really good writing and even it being wrong it was only like that so us normal people would understand it better 🤷♂️ show was genius
I actually didn't understand that line... I mean I get it, France is often stereotyped as being weak militarily, and people started saying freedom fries instead of french fries years ago because they refused to allow US bombers to overfly their airspace on a run to Iraq or something, but what does any of that have to do with level of medical sophistication?

My buddy got some weird vaginosis thing in his mouth right before deployment. It was from this navy girl named Payment. She was very nice to Marines when we were on ship. A really fun girl.
Vaginosis is just a bacteria infection. There are natural bacteria in the body but if there is excess it turns into an infection. It's not a std.

Checking House Wiki for episode "Top Secret" is your best option. Apparently his problem was "hereditary hemorrhagic telangiectasia" and the grandfather's nosebleeds were a clue. But I don't really understand it well enough to say anything more ^^;;

It's radiactve enough if it gets inside of you. But there's not really a situation that could happen. There was an idea that the use of depleted uranium rounds could be hazardous but it seems bunk.

I watched this show all through college and graduation and it was only after I started working that I realised what steaming horseshit it is as far as medicine is concerned. Though it might not constitute common knowledge, a quick Google search would solve a lot of people's idiocy. Although it isn't as radioactive or dangerous, it is still radioactive. If you find yourself unlucky enough to ingest it or have it constantly near your person, I'm sure it wouldn't be pleasant and has the chance to cause multiple issues with prolonged exposure. "Not a serious hazard" doesn't equal completely safe.
