Wait, I’m confused. I only now found out about the whole Starbucks thing in her video and looked it up. I don’t do a lot of social media and don’t use Twitter/X. From my understanding, Starbucks made a post that said, “solidarity with Palestine” 🙌🏼 But Avia said, “I’m not going there right now cause of what they’re supporting”. So…? I think she’s saying she doesn’t support Starbucks standing in solidarity with Palestine.

Its definitely an interesting thing when you grow up and start realizing that your hometown isn't the right fit for you anymore. I remember being in college and going home on breaks was torture because college had so many more fun things to do and i had a routine there. Now I'm living on my own post-college with a great job about two hours from home in a really great lakes region, and I only really go to my hometown for a few days around holidays at this point but my family comes to me more. I also lost touch with some hometown friends but they always wanted to remain there while I always wanted to see what else was out there. It'll always be your hometown but it's totally normal to not feel as connected to it as you once did!

I was thinking about what you said re: people saying you should miss home. People like that speak from a position of total ignorance, yet say it with so much certainty. Like, they have no clue what you want out of life. I think they're just like that because they want to feel better about where *they're* at. Most of them will never go anywhere and look at someone like you, or others in places foreign to them, and think they need to bash it in order to prop themselves up. I'm probably reading too much into it, but I'm tired of people whose response to everything they see is saying *something else* is better or whatever. It's such a half-empty, joyless way to be.
A lot of people see what's in front of them and are good with it. I grew up with about half my graduating class wanting to eventually move back to our hometown after college or they stayed right after high school. I was the one that went 4 hours away to college, three hours away to grad school, and then took my first job in my field which was in a completely different state and 6+ hours away from my hometown. I'm finally settled in an amazing place about two hours from my hometown and it's got a city but also hiking and lakes and it's the perfect fit of all sorts of interesting things to do. I love it! I always had dreams of seeing beyond my hometown and you could tell that Avia was always that way too. I don't think all of her siblings are that way, but i think she was always the independent one from very early on. The others I could see staying closer to home.

I think your hometown is pretty similar in size and population to mine in Indiana. I always thought my hometown was so lame. Granted, I think there's even fewer interesting things to do in Indiana vs Idaho--being that i like the outdoors. Anyway, for almost 10 years now, I've lived various places mostly over the eastern and western states. I've learned that my hometown isn't so bad. It has all you need and the people are nice. But I'm glad i got out and did the traveling too. It's hard living 22 hours away now, but if you never try you never know.

facials are AMAZING & can be pricey, but once u get one u NOTICE the difference!! u only rlly have to go once to see the result. look up ones near u & check out their websites since prices differ around states D: there's always descriptions of facials to choose from. acupressure is great for stress & blocked energy but they don't scoop any blackheads or anything out lol!!

Starbucks treats their employees poorly, and did not let them speak out in support of Palestine. Many people are now boycotting companies like Starbucks and McDonalds in support of Palestine. Starbucks is not outwardly funding the IDF from my understanding but they are also not helping or supporting Palestine
